Jobs' appearance at the latest WWDC shocked a number of people as he appeared thin and gaunt as if he was suffering from some kind of ailment. While I find speculating about somebody's health to be distasteful, it's unfortunately necessary given that Jobs is the head of a multibillion dollar company with many, many shareholders. His health is a concern for all of those shareholders as well as the employees at Apple.
In the past Jobs suffered from pancreatic cancer but fortunately it was the kind that can be managed and the kind that is survivable. However, word of this did not get out until after the surgery which surprised and shocked many people. So when Jobs' makes a public appearance and appears frail or gaunt, it is going to make news everywhere.
