Final Fantasy XIII Is Coming To Xbox 360
An anonymous reader writes "In a stunning change, Square-Enix announced today at Microsoft's E3 press conference that its next iteration in the Final Fantasy series is also coming to Xbox 360." And I just rationalized the PS3 purchase by telling myself that the next FF will require it.
It was my understanding that Squeenix's decision to go PS3 only was due in part to the limitations of the 360's optical drive. Now the Microsoft is going to be releasing a blu-ray equipped 360, I'm willing to bet that FFXIII will require it. So, playing this on the 360 is going to require the purchase of a new console anyway. My question is, for all the 360 owners, do you buy another 360 or bite the bullet and buy a PS3?

...and all of you who already have a PS3 specifically because you wanted it for FFXII someday, please slap yourself. Especially if you bought your PS3 more than a year ago for a game that would happen "someday".
And it's not like Squeenix doesn't have 360 experience. There's a lot of folks using a 360 for FFXI.

IMHO, one player games are dull as hell.
Been playing 'video games' since 1985 or so and one player RPG's have had their day.
I would much rather play a 2 player RPG or better yet, a 10 million player RPG.
It's your own fault for buying a console expecting certain games, and moreover longevity.
I hope not to come off as a troll, but seriously, get a decent gaming PC and upgrade your video card every 3-4 years and your processor every 5-7.
I don't see the point in buying console systems that will be outdated in 3-5 years at this point as the technology is rising as quickly as it has.

Doesn't Final Fantasy have FINAL in the title. Just how many sequels can this thing have and still be FINAL. And everytime there is another Final Fantasy made, there is a chance that no talent ass clown Uwe Boll will make a movie out of it.

COnsiderign the abysmal scores for wii games and my personal experience with a few dozen titles, I'd say they focused more on marketing and cost reduction than games. Even first party titles look and play terible, for the most part.
Not everyone has a loud 360 :)
