Wikipedia Community Vote On License Migration

mlinksva writes "A Wikipedia community vote is now underway on migrating to Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike as the main content license for Wikimedia Foundation projects. This would remove a legal barrier to reusing Wikipedia content (now under the Free Documentation License, intended for narrow use with software documentation, because Wikipedia started before CC existed) in other free culture projects and vice versa."

It is all a steaming pile of crap anyway.

I already voted with a few sockpuppets and I'm trying to remember the passwords for the rest of my accounts. Surprisingly, it worked to use the same IP address. (note that you need accounts with 25 edits prior to the beginning of the vote)

Wiki-P is already compromised by politicization anyway. The Obama Scandal has let everyone know that only Politically Correct material is allowed. So why have a silly political license. Just sing the Internationale and be done with it. CW
