Men Cross 5 Mile Wide Lake In Inflatable Castle

Jack Watkins, 25, and engineers Chris Hayes, 24, and Dave Sibley, 25, have succeeded in crossing Italy's Lake Garda in a huge, inflated bouncy castle. "Great Britain has such a great tradition as a seafaring nation and we really feel we have played no role at all in adding to this," admitted intrepid waterman Hayes. "That said, it was possibly the most fun we have ever had and we really never believed this most frivolous of dreams would ever be realized."

not only was there no alcohol involved (also shocked), but apparently this was sponsored by Honda
"Their bizarre journey was made possible as part of carmaker Honda’s Live Every Litre project."

Really Honda? Sponsoring something that sounds like a drunken fratboy prank probably isn't the best publicity.

I think I'd have been wearing a life jacket all the same. That and I'd have some means of propulsion besides paddles. A push from a basic motorboat would suffice. A sail of some sort would have been fun to engineer.

First it was build a shanty with a wall around it. Then it was build a castle with a moat around it. Now it's build a castle and put it in the moat, without having it burn down, fall over, or sink. Marvelous.
