New Oddworld Games In Development

Game developer Just Add Water announced today that the Oddworld series, dormant since 2005, will be getting multiple new titles in the near future. Quoting: "... for the past 12 months we have been working extremely closely with the fantastic people at Oddworld Inhabitants, from what started off as brief discussions in June 2009, to now working on multiple projects, across multiple platforms. Whilst we cannot go into specifics right now, we can tell you that over the coming weeks and months we will be announcing these exciting projects starring all of your favorite Oddworld characters."

    For abandoning the PS2 in favor of the original X-Box. Exclusivity deals FTL.

      It's ridiculous you get modded flamebait for pointing out the fact that exclusivity deals stink and it did indeed cost Oddworld alot of possible sales. Fanboys suck.

      I always found it ironic that the Oddworld games were about the little guy against the big corporations. With Much's Oddysee, Oddworld teamed up with Microsoft, then for Strangers Wrath Oddworld teamed up with EA.

      I think they were mistaking my schadenfreude for trolling. I loved the original Oddworld game.

    It was mentioned before by the Oddworld Inhabitants team that if the re-released Abe games sold well there would be an Oddbox, with additionally Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath ported to Windows.
    This sounds more like a reference to that, since there is no indication Squeek's Oddysee or other new Oddworld games are in development.

    Yeah, I think you are. It's not like "follow me" wasn't a common phrase before Abe came along.
