Alternative To the 200-Line Linux Kernel Patch

Well, Lennart Poettering, a Red Hat developer, replied to Linus Torvalds on a mailing list with an alternative to this patch that does the same thing yet all you have to do is run 2 commands and paste 4 lines in your ~/.bashrc file."

    Why did it take so long for it to be addressed in the first place?

    Because nobody noticed that there was a problem. When's the last time you did make -j64?

    Read the same forum and see that had the newb used the forum search he would not have been replied to so rudely. They got support for free, the fact that the person giving it did not have the best bedside manner is the to be expected.
