Photosynth Gets a Little Competition

andres32a writes "Using existing open-source Structure From Motion Libraries and incorporating a WebGL pointcloud viewer, we have created a new website called 3dtubeme.com that allows users to create and share on the web amazing 3d models using virtually any digital camera. Point clouds are dramatically denser than Photosynth, and best of all... it works on any WebGL browser!"

    Free means free as in speech around here, not "open source upload tool to a proprietary web service". So take your ad and kindly fuck off!

    What is truly unbelievable is that it requires a Facebook login to see a fucking picture.

    You know what? You are right about the facebook thing. We will take that away and allow viewing of models (creation would it though) from anonymous users.
