Christmas begins on November 1st (when retailers toss aside the Halloween decorations for the Christmas ones), continues until January 1st (when they begin to focus on Valentine's Day), and makes a brief resurgence in July. Thus, Christmas has about 92 days and takes up a quarter of the year.

Not anymore. They already will have some Christmas stuff out in September/October. The amount of Halloween stuff exceeds it until Nov 1, when all the Halloween shelves switch to Christmas stuff.

On Dec 26th, every "Christmas Tree" got turned into "Last Year's Christmas Tree". A few days/weeks after that, every "Last Year's Christmas Tree" got turned into "Mulch".

Unlike all the other trees that completed said transition, this tree had an intermediate stage, in which it got turned into something awesome.
