From the article: "Lawmakers are still positioning themselves for a debt ceiling fight in a few months, but one Republican congressman wants to snuff out a particular idea immediately: the U.S. Treasury minting $1 trillion platinum coins to avert a debt ceiling showdown.     You know it's a dumb idea. The Nobel Prize foundation lost a lot of credibility when they gave him the award for Economics, and lost the rest of it when they gave the peace prize to President Drone Strike.
