Fairy Penguins Send First Email

An anonymous reader writes "Australian researchers have successfully connected a Tasmanian colony of fairy penguins to the internet. At least fairy penguins can make up for the lack of ponies.

no, reddit is like this everyday and follows with a dipping IQ. I see reddit as the idiocracy of the Internet.

I actually enjoy Slashdot taking a day of the year out to just be silly. In past years some of the jokes have been hysterical. I enjoyed the "achievements" thing. The rot13 though is just irritating. So much fun having to paste all the summaries into my terminal so I can read them; I just love obvious repetitive tasks.
