We've been thrilled with all of the diverse, creative entries we've seen so far, and we can't wait to begin the process of selecting the best video (video). We'll be announcing the winner in 10 years. All videos will be deleted within the next 24 hours. What do you think is the #bestvideo on YouTube?"

  Respectfully disagree. It's nice to have a tradition of doing something different one day of the year and this is actually simple and unintrusive even for the not-logged-in such as myself. It's not like they encrypted it against a secret key.

Pretty lame of Google to joke like that.
Because one never knows what motivates the "masterminds" up in the HQ - and they might really close the YouTube if they feel like it. Especially after they would 100% integrate it with the G+ and drive users off.
