    My TV antenna went up a long time ago, and we haven't had cable TV in 45 years.

    Adobe and Microsoft will never make Linux versions, because there's not much of a market. Not that there aren't millions of Linux users, but few of them are going to pay for Adobe or Microsoft products when they can get almost the same functionality for free.

    If that bothers you, you can run MX Linux, like me.

    Actually, systemd doesn't bother me at all, I just like MX, and I ran Mint for 6 years.

  12. You can instead roll out 5G in my neighborhood. You can put a tower in my back yard. Literally, I have half an acre just growing weeds. Of course I will charge you rent for it, but hey.

  13. They're not towers. You won't have 5G towers every 500 feet. You have short poles. Like you already have to carry power and cable, and that one old lady down the block who still has a land line.

    Then there's the ten years or more before you get a single watt out of it. Slapping up wind farms or solar is near instantaneous by comparison.

    I like to use webrtc sites like appear.in. No signup, just send a link and you're having a video chat.

    PDP-8's can be had pretty reasonable nowadays, although the parts can be hard to get and the power consumption is ridiculous.

    I always liked Serif software, but I have 2 big problems with PS and Affinity: they aren't free and don't work on Linux.
