Nanoparticle Exposure Could Disrupt Immune Cell Function
MTorrice writes "A new study suggests there's more to nanoparticle toxicology than cell life and death. Although immune cells treated with iron oxide particles appeared healthy in standard toxicology tests, they struggled to perform one of their key jobs: engulfing pathogenic bacteria. The researchers wonder if exposure to significant levels of the nanoparticles could lead to dysfunction in people's immune systems."
researchers should wonder if exposure to nanoparticles will disrupt cancer cell function or antibiotic-resistant superbug function and devise a strategy to shoot them with the appropriate nanoparticles.
Nanoparticles that are the size of mineral molecules will displace the essential minerals from their place in the enzymes that make up the function of the immune system. This is the same problem with heavy metals. The implication is we will probably never be able to successfuly manipulate the body's immune system to any significant degree. Anybody who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
If you want to cure degenerative illness, then take out heavy metals and don't poison yourself with chemicals. This is a good as it gets.
From the makers of superaids. Now in an easier to swallow form.
It is great that we are learning this stuff. However nanoparticles are not in general good or bad, they are an entire class of molecules that are on the scale of a nanometer. Some will be good, some will be bad and the more we can learn about this the better off we are. There are some we have found that tend to concentrate in certain cell types and may help or harm the cell depending on what they are.
This is an area that needs a massive amount of effort and research. I suspect that many of the illnesses that people have now are actually caused by naturally occurring nanoparticles and that the cures for them is likely to be found in other types of nanoparticles.
Computer modeling for biotech drug manufacturing is HARD!
Or adopt reasonable precautions as we do for any other hazardous substance.
Exposure to liquids can cause poisoning, and exposure to solids can cause bullet wounds. We should avoid all liquids and solids, just to be sure.

Yet, practically all types of medicinal pills still contain nanoparticles of Titanium Dioxide, used only for colouring the pills white. ... or all the brands contain TiO2.
It is not like you have the option of choosing another brand that does not have nanoparticles. Often the prescribed medicine is the only one available with the active ingredient
TiO2 is also in many brands of sunscreen, but in this case it is much easier to choose another brand.

No need to turn it around, we can have both.
But if it turns out the cure is worse than the cause, these are good questions to answer.
Wow what a finding metalic iron not good for the body?
Get a clue hippies.
I know you won't post but you are still an idiot hippie... CO2 is a poison plants love and you exhale...
HA ha..
Once upon a time, asbestos was considered a miracle too.
Material that can effortlessly pass thru the blood / brain barrier are being used in more and more products with no foresight whatsoever (commerce!). This will not end well.
