Hidden Archeology of Stonehenge Revealed In New Geophysical Map

An anonymous reader writes Utilizing a comprehensive array of remote sensing technology and non-invasive geophysical survey equipment, researchers working on the site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England have revealed hundreds of previously unknown features buried deep beneath the ground as part of the Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project. The finds include images of dwellings from the Bronze and Iron Ages as well as details of buried Roman settlements never before seen."

      No. I found them to be fine young cannibals. Although, there is one woman that, well, she drives me crazy like no one else. At the time, I thought she was a good thing, but now I wonder where has she gone.

      It takes two to tango, matey. While I in no way condone extremism, whether they hide behind 'Islam' or 'Christianity' (or your variant of 'morality', whatever that is), there's always at least two sides to a conflict. Comments like yours only serve to stoke the fires and making it more difficult to find a solution. If we want to solve the problems, we need to find common ground with those Muslims who are just as sick and tired as us of the continued problems - how can we do that, if we constantly isult each other over petty differences?

      Sir, I really must protest that although our savagery is debatable (I like to think of myself as a modern humanist rather than a knuckle-dragging savage), I do take exception to your surprising claim that we are all Muslims. I personally am not of a religious bent - I am a card carrying atheist (although the cards are just the normal credit cards and shop loyalty cards that most people carry around).

      I am somewhat confused about what you mean by your "Asian militants" statement. Are all the militants coming to visit Britain (probably site-seeing - I do see a lot of Japanese tourists taking photographs of all manner of people, places and things) or did they all move here at an early age? My belief is that if someone has been living in a place for the majority of their life, then it's reasonable to designate that place as their nationality, so wouldn't they then become "British militants"?

      I have met several Muslims who were absolutely outstanding chaps and in no way "savage", so I'm begininng to doubt your entire post as some kind of rant.

It’s the only way to be sure - how can we do that, if we constantly isult each other over petty differences?

      Stonehenge predates the Druids, although they may have performed their silly dances there.

    Do you think they'll be allowed to do this at Treblinka? Seeing as there are supposed to be the ashes of hundreds of thousands of 'Jews' buried there? Oh, wait... they covered the ground over with hideous Jewish 'sculptures' (i.e. a monstrous field of hideous stones and concrete) so that you can't look under the ground with ground penetrating radar... I can't imagine why...

    OK - not an archaeologist here. But the new picture seems to be dangerously close to a wish-fulfilment fantasy based on 'expert' interpretation of patterns in the data - and I'd be interested to know just how universally accepted amongst other experts that interpretation is. Because if I learned one thing from watching "Time Team", it was how often the experts' interpretation of geophys data turned out to be quite different to what was found when the site was actually dug...
