Free Comic Book Day Event Features Neil Gaiman, the Simpsons
An anonymous reader writes: Today comic book stores around the world celebrate "Free Comic Book Day", offering anyone who pays them a visit some free comic books. This year there's 50 different titles to choose from, including a reprint of Neil Gaiman's "Lady Justice" (not seen in print in nearly 25 years) and a new Fight Club story by Chuck Palahniuk. The Marvel and D.C. universes are represented, as well as Dr. Who, The Simpsons, Jim Henson's Labyrinth, and even something called Steampunk Goldilocks. Saturday many bookstores will also be recognizing "Independent Bookstores Day" with special events, though ironically, some fans may be tempted to visit Amazon.com instead to download some free Kindle editions of last year's free comic books.
They had their days but now every episode is worse than the next and they whored out with Family Guy. Put the beloved show down already please.
Stuff about books and a TV show that should have killed itself years ago.
How many fucking buzzword links can you cram into just one story, keep it up Dicedot you faggots.
as well as Dr. Who
Nuh uh. Doctor, not Dr.
And that's not quite just pedantic nerdrage talking. Dr. Who is similar-but-different character from a separate fictional universe.
So there.
Interesting nerdfact: they were planning to refer to the Dr. Who films in the 50th anniversery episode as having been inspired by the real Doctor, but they couldn't afford the rights to use the posters.
systemd is Roko's Basilisk.
Have you ever considered that, perhaps, other people are allowed to have different thoughts and feelings to your own?
Just something you might want to mull over.
This whole thing is stupid. Women gravitate less toward a certain field, more toward others. Men gravitate less toward daycare and more toward bashing shit with a hammer. Investing a tremendous amount of energy gets one or two anecdotes of "wow! This gave me the confidence to stop being shy and get into the field I really wanted to be in, but thought nobody would accept me for, and it's fantastic!" Guess what? Those success stories won't start just rolling in when you "get it right"; they're all a bunch of losers. Especially Neil Gaiman
This is really a boring story about a bunch of overrated pop authors. Thanks for trying Dicedot
Why they call it all "Kindle" files when I found it is a normal PDF? Or are there some other "Kindle" file formats which I may not be able to read on normal Free Linux?
Worst slashdot story *ever*. Rest assured that I was on the internet within minutes, registering my disgust.
Confucius say, "Find worm in apple - bad. Find half a worm - worse."
Sucks

Haha, poor gayniggers, betrayed by their own kind. And now they don't even have enough money to buy their domain free. And instead of featuring premium trolling content, its just piled up shit.
There's a downloadable sample at the link.
I'm not sure if downloading and viewing it was a good thing or a bad thing.
Well, not quite as bad as I imagined. At least it has a buxom teenager girl and a tank (steam-powered apparently) and guns (well, one gun but with a steadi-mount) .. and porridge.
And it was free, there's always that.
Or are there some other "Kindle" file formats which I may not be able to read on normal Free Linux?
Yes. A lot of Kindle editions sold by Amazon use Kindle-specific digital restrictions management.
In almost every thread now, there are racial slurs.
This guy has a legion of cult followers but his books are terrible and boring.
Whereas you have no followers, you have no books, and your posts are terrible and boring. Compare and contrast!
