Adam Nimoy "For the Love of Spock" Documentary On KickStarter
New submitter Yohannon writes: In November of 2014, Adam Nimoy, son of Leonard, began talking with his father about creating a documentary regarding the late actor's most iconic role for potential release on the 50th anniversary of the premier of Star Trek. With the actor sadly passing in late February, the project has become more of a celebration of Leonard Nimoy's life as a whole. To fund the project, Adam has turned to KickStarter to raise the relatively modest 600 thousand dollars (US) to complete the documentary.

Nimoy made millions of dollars (articles point to 45 million -- http://www.foodworldnews.com/a... ) . What happened to all of that or did Adam not get any inheritance?
Call a spade a spade. Stack on euphemisms like you do and you know in your heart of hearts that you don't believe what you say you believe.
Leonard Nimoy says that fat people should be proud and/or can be beautiful too. I might agree, to an extent. But the thing is, I am 100% certain that he doesn't and I think it's very likely that what he really thinks is something along the lines of ‘people should get of their case for ruining their health, ruining the health of their kids, being ugly, costing society billions in extra health expenses and economic damage, having bad conditions and so on and so forth’. Not my thoughts mind you - but in all likelyhood his.

The documentary should retain its original focus on the Star Trek: The Original Series character Mr. Spock. While Leonard Nimoy was more than this singular character, deviating towards a life-and-times of the man, Leonard Nimoy, detracts from the tribute which this documentary can be and should be at least in the eyes of this long-time fan.
I had heard about this project, but I had never seen any of the photographs.
After seeing them today, I need to ask, why do Americans celebrate obesity as something that's good?
I feel sorry for those "models". I can't image how unhealthy it must be to carry around so much extra weight. It can't be good for the heart, and it especially can't be good for one's knees and other joints.
It's one thing to not ridicule those who are obese. But celebrating obesity is just as bad, if not worse. It takes something that isn't good at all, and makes it appear as though it's a good thing.

Realistically, there are much bigger problems in this world. Let me give you an example.
Although I'm an AIX, Solaris and Linux sysadmin by trade, I want to improve my skills with Windows in order to broaden my employment horizons. Since I don't have that much experience with Windows, I thought I would try to get some Microsoft certifications. They're quite easy for anyone with a brain to get, from what I've heard.
While browsing around Microsoft's certification site, I found a link to a "free interactive map" showing the exams one must take in order to attain a Microsoft certification. This sounded great! It was just what I was looking for!
Then I found out it's actually one of those new-fangled Windows apps that requires Windows 8.1 to run. That does me no good, since I still use Windows 7!
Why the fuck would they do that? Yeah, I know they want us all to use Windows 8.1, but not all of us are in that position. I can't drop hundreds of dollars buying (no, I refuse to pirate it; that is sinful and wrong) Windows 8.1 just to run a free app!
Worst of all, when I look at the screenshots of the interactive Microsoft certification app, at the very top it has a "VIEW AS PDF" button! So the app itself can, if I am comprehending that correctly, export its info as a PDF!
Microsoft, why the fuck don't you just provide these PDFs for those of us who don't have Windows 8, and with Windows 10 on the horizon, probably never will?

There were two books written on Leonard Nimoy, "I am not Spock", and "I am Spock". The latter of which was written in 1995. So, if people care about the life of Leonard Nimoy, read the books. Don't finance a redundant documentary on his life.
The "Full Body Project" is a collection of nudes. Specifically "Full bodied" women. But that's besides the point, it's an NSFW link and should have a warning.

One need not scan further to see that Commander Spock was 'passionately' concerned about the fate of human populations who find themselves in the path of asteroids, and the United Federation of Planets clearly did not consider an extinction level impact event as something that should be permitted to happen under the Prime Directive. And how fortunate for Leonard Nimoy that his voice so resembled that of Commander Spock, that he could employ his talent for narration to help Spock continue to implore us into space.
