The United States and Israel Sign Space Cooperation Agreement (israelnationalnews.com)
MarkWhittington writes: According to a story in Arutz Sheva, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Israel Space Agency Director General Menachem Kidron signed an agreement to further future space cooperation between the two countries. The agreement took place at the International Astronautical Conference taking place in Jerusalem. The agreement restores a previous commitment for space cooperation between the two countries that lapsed in 2005. The current agreement will have a far greater scope than the previous one.

Why can't each person individually mix and match whatever they happen to like from all the various religions and cultures around the world? Would it really be so wrong if some guy from Japan wanted to go live in the middle east and eat palak paneer while wearing a sombrero and listening to Beethoven?
And why does a country have to be either Jewish or Muslim? The USA was founded on the principle of religious freedom - letting each person choose their religion individually. Is religious freedom really such a bad thing?
At a somewhat superficial level, it seems that, as a matter of basic fairness, in the long term either everyone gets to discriminate or no one gets to discriminate. In the long term, you can't have a situation where one particular group of people is like "We get to discriminate against all of you but you aren't allowed to discriminate against us." With that in mind, it seems that policies like a Jewish (only) "right of return" to Israel are going to be a problem in the longer term.
More fundamentally, though, the idea of trying to deal out justice at a collective racial or ethnic or religious level seems to me to be deeply problematic. Suppose some black person steals a television from some white person so you throw some other random black person in jail and give some other random white person a new television. Is that justice? It hardly seems like it. That's not to say that it's wrong to help someone who is down or their luck or who has even been actively persecuted. But if we say that we will only help a person in need if they are a member of a particular race or ethnic group or religion, then that seems very unfair. In a world where 20,000 children a day die of poverty, there are a lot of people who would benefit from being able to move to a different country for a better life. Why not help them all - regardless of race or ethnicity or religion?
In one future, every race and ethnic group and religion is huddled together in fear on its own little piece of land, nursing ancient grievances and stockpiling nuclear weapons in preparation for a final nuclear armageddon. In the other future, everyone renounces discrimination and lives and works and travels throughout the world - experiencing all the vibrant diversity and each choosing for themselves who to be without regard to the race or ethnicity or religion that they were born into.
At the end of the day, it's not really about Israel, it's about whether we want to live in a world of freedom - free from discrimination and artificial barriers to living our lives to the fullest.

What you are describing as your goal is a one world government. In that sort of scenario citizenship in a particular country isn't particularly important, people don't have much loyalty to their country and people and goods travel fairly freely through the world. That's what you have with empire not a world of nation states. An empire is constructed in such a way that the effectual top government is not particularly tied to the people it governs, rather they are just resources. And because they are just resources that government wants to reduce friction caused by culture. So nationality is downplayed.
The reason people don't like that is that they want a government that is more responsive i.e. a government which agrees with them on fundamental questions about the nature of the good. You can't have both a one world government and a government that is responsive to the governed. That's the downside of your vision.
