DC Comics Returns To Supermarket Shelves With New, Giant-Sized Comics (gizmodo.com)
DC Comics announced earlier this week that it has partnered with Walmart to revive its DC Giant range as a 100-page anthology format comic book. Four new series revolving around Batman, Superman, the Justice League, and the Teen Titans will launch solely in the retail stores starting July 1. From a report: Starting next month, each of the new monthly series will collect stories from the past two decades of DC Comics publishing -- including stories released as recently as this year -- revolving around each book's titular characters, as well as a few side stories featuring guest characters like Harley Quinn, the Terrifics, or even the recently introduced Sideways from the Dark Matter publishing initiative.
But on top of that, each series will also include new ongoing stories from top DC creatives like Tom King, Andy Kubert, and the recently-arrived Brian Michael Bendis -- setting the Giant line apart from Marvel and Archie's digest series, which exclusively feature reprinted stories.

Awesome. Though i guess the UK will not see these though ASDA? One can hope.
for little boys? Even if movies now targeted to those little boys are making money now? Mature people read real books.
Are they gonna bring back the Giant-Size Man-Thing?
Honestly, doing lines of comics tailored for an aging population seems like a really great idea. They have a lot of time to read, and disposable income...

You can suck on my giant-size man-thing.
Most superhero comics are just brand based crap. Superman or Batman change almost completely from writer to writer, their adventures often contradicting each other. The only reason that they are written to begin with is because of the stupid robotic nerds who buy anything with the right brand on it.

Comic book intellect Kendall lies hourly, has zero actual business sense - that's why the INCEL faggot lives in Louisiana and has no job except lying on slashdot for Rubles. Gas the faggot.

Since they are reprints I would expect them to be relatively inexpensive.... yeah, right....
Oh great... another movie franchise spin-off. What is it this time? Comics. Are you shitting me? No one was asking for comics, so stop trying to milk every last cent from your franchise!!!
AFAIC, since they had Sukerman revoke his American citizenship there AIN'T no more DC Comics!
Comic books are one of the few uniquely American art creations, like jazz music. I'm glad to see them come back to the places where kids and normal people frequent. Though comic stores have their place, comic books should never have been relegated solely to specialty shops. They are meant to have mass appeal and enjoyment!
