Michael Cohen Says He Tried To Rig Online Polls 'at the Direction' of Donald Trump (cnbc.com)

Dan Mangan, writing for CNBC: President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer and longtime fixer Michael Cohen on Thursday said he tried to rig online polls -- including one conducted by CNBC -- "at the direction and for the sole benefit of" Trump when he was thinking about making a run for the White House. "I truly regret my blind loyalty to a man who doesn't deserve it," Cohen said in a tweet copping to the electronic chicanery to have Trump's name rank higher in online polls than it otherwise would have.

Cohen's admission came shortly after The Wall Street Journal published a story detailing how he retained an information technology company to manipulate a 2014 CNBC online poll identifying the nation's top 100 business leaders to bolster Trump's chances of making that list. That effort failed. And Trump himself fumed in 2014 on Twitter about his absence from CNBC's poll results.

Selective Prosecution

Just as most non-al-phas have no idea why 'freedom of conscience' is the most important Human Right, slashdot relies on the dribblers who willingly visit this site having no idea about the concept of 'selective prosecution'.

The Clintons, Obama, the Bushs etc used every corrupt tactic to gain power, knowing that outlets on their side would never report this FACT. But when Trump 'accidently' beat the Deep State's supreme warmonger, Clinton- the woman that promised to go to war with Russia in Syria to protect her wahhabi hordes after she became president (remember, Trump was elected on an anti-war ticket), the fake left and fake right both immediately agreed to join forces and attack interloper Trump. Today Trump is roundly condemned for his light use of the Standard Operating Procedures all 'official' candidates use to gain power in the USA.

As a matter of fact, Trump was 'turned' in record time, and is now a fine leader in the eyes of the Deep State, just as Obama proced to be after HE 'accidently' beat Clinton the first time around. But the Deep State cares about the PRINCIPLE- namely that no outsider should ever agian be allowed to disrupt their plans.

So vile neoliberal outlets like slashdot scream at the be-tas, conditioning the hard-of-thinking to demand that next time, the Deep State annointed warmonger wins, whether that butcher represents the fake left or fake right.

Be-tas are far too thick to understand why freedom of conscience is a GOOD thing, or why the tactics of selective prosecution are a supreme evil. Be-tas fall for the trick of selective examples- unable to put things into a wider meta context.

It totally baffles me to see the efforts and the intellectual contorsionism Trump apologists are willing to subject themselves to (and us) to continue to defend and support this abomination of a man. Just look at the pathethic excuses some of them are trying to push in this very thread. Trump tried to rig polls ? Then it's either "well polls aren't worth shit anyway" or "everybody does it". What next ? What's going to be your defense when news comes out that he's a rapist or a child molester ? Is it going to be "well everybody does it" again ?

Donald Trump is probably one of the worst, if not the worst, american public figure of the last five or so decades, at least. This was already common knowlege decades before the presidency.

So why ? Why would anyone with even a shred of human decency want to be associated with a vile psychopath like that, and defend him with blind, absolute loyalty ? Is it pure tribalism ? Is it only because it pisses off liberals ?
