I never heard of Neil deGrasse Tyson's (thank goodness for cut and paste), was he in Armageddon? I am glad he had found a way to take his movie background and create a solution that works.
Why? Why do you want to understand these people? I'm serious. Why deliberately fill your head with hatred and evil and seek to know what motivates these people? Can you? Is it possible? To what end?
Not the original poster, but there are a lot of valid reasons to view hate sites. (Leaving aside the intellectual freedom issues, etc.)
1. Simple intellectual curiosity into the motivations of terrorists, militant racists, etc..
Yep, that is what I told my wife. "Honey, I am just looking at these porn sites and chatting with these women because I have intellectual curiosity". For some reason she is not as good with that as you are.
I am with a Microsoft Gold Partner, and we host and use the SPLA. The fact is that they would need to use these licenses at a minimum:
* Remote Desktop SAL (6WC-00002) @ 3.45 a month
* Office Standard (021-08183) @ $10.30 a month
That is $13.75 a month per user they need to pay Microsoft + all the other costs for hardware, support, etc.
You nailed it. Which is why we should have as small a government as possible. If govt will merely be designed to limit bad governors, then good ones may not be drawn to it (I suppose bad ones would not either). Hence, we need smaller government so their incompetence is limited. And I acknowledge that this is not what you said and I am extending me own thought.
Feel free to write your check to NASA or whoever else you want to; and let me keep mine. If you object to that, then you will know where my thoughts and view comes from. Ok?
Always follows the money. We spend so much common/govt money in this, I cannot help but think this is about spending more, or at least preserving what is being spent. If a baseball team never hit any home runs, and everybody paid to see home runs, a triple can be redefined as a home run.
As an atheist, I wholeheartedly support this idea. If all kids were forced to read the entire Bible before they turn 13, and pass the exam on textual knowledge - why, that would probably do more to reduce the influence of Christianity than efforts of all the various skeptic and secular humanist groups in the country. ~
As a christian, I would take that deal everyday. When the bible is just read, and understood in it's context to say what it says, it makes more sense than science falsely called, and much more sense than the philosophers of this world.
I am also glad for christians telling us God will judge the sinful, so at least maybe my neighbor won't steal my stuff, kill my servants, or covet my wife.
These two geniuses are really identical morons. They should have had him sign a non-disclosure/non-compete agreement acknowledging the intellectual property they think they had. We would not be even discussing this now.
Furthermore, we have to acknowledge ideas grow and change; their original idea may have been similar to whatever Mark created, but it changed as soon as he started working on it. Sometimes we call these changes changes, or scope creep, or just evolution. But they always change, especially when somebody knew enters the process.
To not have federal level health care is the most stupid and expensive way to have healthcare.
Yep; We should also have federal supplied internet service; it is way too costly to have multiple providers with disparate systems, I don't want to pay for that. Europe is kicking or butts at that.
Oh yea, and home loans. Big banks were the reason we are in this mess with their risky investments, the government needs to just make my mortgage payments for me. I am too small to fail.
Wait, and let's also do federally supplied college. The only way we can compete is if we all have a good education, and we all know the cost increase has exceeded inflation. Who can afford this most basic of necessities?
I get hungry, A lot. It would be an advantage to all of us if the federal govt supplied breakfast. I want oatmeal. Every morning. And I want Wilfred Brimley to spoon feed it to me.
And dang it, the world is stressful. Federally supplied massages should be the right of EVERY CITIZEN, illegal or not. Stress is a known contributor to health issues and lost worker productivity. We cannot afford not to have federally supplied massages. I bet Weiner gets them, why shouldn't I, with all me stress over having to get out of bed to let Wilfred Brimly in the house?
It's true - just like Muslim extremists flip a shit over drawings of Muhammed, the Western world does likewise over images of child sexuality.
We're just as bad as them.
No, we're not. While it is offensive to some, drawing of Muhammad hurts nobody among civilized people; images of child sexuality feed the lusts of depraved individuals to the extent they are compelled to act, or think we are complicit with them in their abuse of children, Have at least half a brain, or half a heart or both for crying out loud.

But at least a new job processing refunds and overturning conviction records will be created, and isn't that what really matters?
You can rent a Windows 7 Pro machine there is a SPLA license for it at $7.62 a month.

Thanks for sharing; should be modded up as interesting.

When will Adblock Plus block these Microsoft ads on Slashdot?
The day before they block the Linux ones. I am waiting for the idiot blocker, but fear it may sometimes affect my own posts.

Right, because he was so effective with a majority. Oh wait, he wasn't.
In Soviet Russia, probes call you
Wall Street firms — independent companies and the securities-trading arms of banks — are doing even better. They earned more in the first 21 / 2 years of the Obama administration than they did during the eight years of the George W. Bush administration, industry data show. Just simple things: life, liberty, pursuit of happiness...
Nah, we don;t those. Let's cut the military budget and all use a new language and commerce. I for one welcome our new Taliban overlords.

I guess the Saturday morning cartoons were not correct.

Some parent groups are starting to act weird
Yep, those pesky parents acting all weird and trying to protect their children again...
I had to scroll back to the top and see what the article was about. What you said applies to EVERY new piece of software, especially an OS.
new user-interface is a bad idea and may slow down users moving to windows 8.
New interface pieces hard to learn...check.
Some places are still stuck on XP and are moving to 7 now and now 8 is on the way with a new GUI?
Some parts upgraded and others parts left the same...check
also what software / hardware that works in XP / 7 will windows 8 not work with?
New OS means old hardware may not work. need to buy something else new...check.
Make sure you save this post for reuse in the future for EVERY new piece of software. Saves time.
Once again, when a dog becomes a cat....oh never mind...
