Thank you for being anally retentive enough to correct me. Allow me to return the favor:

The coyote's (referencing the word i used should actually reference the word i use) don't (an actual word, not whatever it is you wrote) possess (posses is probably not the word you're looking for as this has nothing to do with a small gang of men, agitating laundry, and it's not the 1700's... although i suppose using archaic or obsolete words is sometimes fun) the cleanup process. The word you were looking for is coyotes. Simply plural.

United States: In the past, many states had laws that regarded the act of suicide as a felony, but these laws were seldom enforced. In the 1980s, 30 out of 50 United States has no laws opposing suicide or attempting suicide. With that said, all 50 states had laws stating that assisted suicide is a felony. Currently there is no law against the act of committing suicide in the United States.

Additionally, physician assisted suicide is wider spread than just Oregon... they were simply the first. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/26/...

Only in portions of Nevada is prostitution legal, not the entirety of the state.

Public nudity is more widely accepted (legally) than you've limited it too, but here each city can have it's own ordinances, so listing them would need a staggering amount of space, and as much effort; so here's an already written article:

You don't "get it" because of all the shit you have where normal people have brains.

Progressives are the reason this country exists. Conservatives prefer the authoritarian rulers, like King George, but progressives fought against that and formed a country where people had a say in their government. Those progressives are now the "left" you talk whine about.

The civil war, conservatives in the south seceded from the union... the actually broke up this country, something you claim "the left" wants to do, but never has. It took more progressives to stand up and say no... that this was a United country.

As a side point here... all this bullshit about confederate monuments being history or legacy... no. They are monuments to traitors to this country, who murdered hundreds of thousands citizens of the United States. Now, some intentionally ignorant prople may think "traitor" might be harsh... but, i use it in actual terms. Johnson pardoned the traitors, something he wouldn't have had to do if they were not traitors. http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu...

"The left" isn't trying to destroy the country they created, but now days they are not willing to compromise with those who think that the rights and benefits of the country should only be for some of the citizens. That's the position of the conservatives.... and has been for a while. Conservatives railed against blacks having rights, and when they lost that argument, they switched to gays. Conservatives have to have someone to blame, because they simply cannot accept responcibility for ANYTHING they've done.

We do understand that out country has done some shitty things, but anyone with any functioning brain cells and open eyes should be able to see that. Global warmongers... yeh, that's us; more specifically, it's the god damn cowards we have in this country who are afraid of anyone that looks different, or big business that make their scratch off something some other country has and they want, or who directly produce military hardware.

Slavery... yeh, that was us. People enslaving people. I really should have to say that's bad, but there are some people in the world (and in the USA) who are simply so damn stupid they can't see that's a bad thing. Jim Crow laws.... yep, anyone with a brain could see that was bad. Sadly, again, we have a lot of people without functioning brains in this country.

Deplorable? Oh yeh, i get it... some people can't pay attention for more than a few seconds, so you need soundbites to help you out. Lets review:

You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it.

I'd argue that she was right... maybe not on the percentage, but certainly on the characterization. She defined who those she thought were deplorable by their traits... which is why it's funny, in a sad, stupid way, that people wear these t-shits with "deplorable" written on it. I'd normally at least give them props for honesty, but i doubt any of them even know what Hillary said... they just think it's because they're Trump supporters, instead of someone having some of the worst traits of the human species. Kinda like these dipshits wearing Gadsen Flag t-shirts with the Jefferson quote... they don't even know what the quote was about, but they twist it to something simplistic that they don't have to bother thinking about; if they only had a clue... which they obviously don't.

Now, i understand.. you're probably like a lot of conservatives. You've been lied to by snake oil salesmen that want you to elect them, and you've been gullible enough to do just that. The problem is, these people only give a damn about themselves... not you, not me, not anyone that they can't get something from. They've brainwashed you into thinking completely backwards and ign

An important part of working culture is: do the job, and don't cause problems.

I think the big problem here is the lack of understanding in some people that when you're at work, they're paying for your time. Using that time to promote your own dogma or bullshit is probably going to be frowned on, and rightfully so. Conservatives, on the other hand, seem to think they can spout their bullshit anywhere and anytime without having and responsibility or repercussions for doing that.

Advice from someone old, to all the youth: When you go to work... do the job, and shut the hell up with your whining shit.

  18. Re:Welcome to the Gulag on Newspaper Obtains James Damore's Complaint Against Google (siliconbeat.com) · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Sadly you're right... Damore isn't that radical of a conservative; reich-wingers have been outright waging war on the rights of women in this country for decades now, and all this guy did was belittle every female he works with, and who work across an entire company. That's not radical at all, hell, that's chump change to most reich-wingers.

However, as much as you might use the dogwhistle of "free speech," this has nothing to do with it; Google is not the government. Employees have to live up to the expectations of the company when they're at work, and often when they're not at work they are still under the companies eye so as to not embarrass said company. It works that way pretty much everywhere. For you to suggest this is a "free speech" issue only shows you have no understanding of what the term means, or how it is applied. ANYONE with any basic common sense would know that if you cause problems for the company that employs you, you probably should consider packing your desk.

So no, this has nothing to do with free speech, it has everything to do with a complete lack of common sense with quite possible a side dish of someone thinking they're entitled. People are free to speak what they want, where they want.... they may not be free from the repercussions of that speech though. This guy is just a whiny little dipshit that if he'd had half a brain cell working would have known he was doing something really stupid, and now he wants what all conservatives strive for: to be free from all responsibility for their actions.

Here's a little bit of advice... if you think your opinion has any merit, put your name to it.

  19. Slashdot reader schwit1 writes, "This is akin to buying an exotic car that doesn't work, that you can barely afford, without also budgeting for insurance, repairs, and tuneups."

    There, fixed that for you.

  20. Another part of the problem is we've already solved the big problems, what's left are the increasingly rare diseases.

Just to clarify... the big problems: Leading causes of death in the US - Heart disease, Cancer (malignant neoplasms), Chronic lower respiratory disease, Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases), Alzheimer's disease, Diabetes, Influenza and pneumonia..... none of them a rare disease.

The people in "big pharma" aren't evil for making a profit, any more than you are evil for getting paid for whatever you do to pay your bills.

Yet this isn't about big pharma making drugs... it's about them creating absolute frauds and calling them drugs, and yes, that's evil because those can take away a persons chance to use an effective drug. I get it... some people are so damn scared of death they'll try anything to stay alive, even if what they try is 100% guaranteed to fail. It's a company preying on that survival instinct by offering absolutely useless "treatments" that should rile everyone... except maybe the sadists and psychopaths.

  21. Did you have to work hard at being such an idiot, or did it come naturally?

How many lives were lost by people on treatments that did absolutely nothing, and have never been shown to have ever done anything, when they could have been on one that at least showed it was effective sometimes? He's complaining about useless products bilking people out of not only money, but time in their lives where they don't really have all that much time left for no other reason that because these companies are greedy fucks who care about 3 things: profit, profit, and profit. You, on the other hand, are complaining because you don't understand that if a person has a couple months left to live, and time to try one treatment, they better try the one that's shown to actually be effective.... in other words, you're complaining because you're a fucking imbecile.

And for that "communist" slight.... try to learn what a word means before using it, because it really does make you look like a complete fucking idiot. It's uneducated asswipes like you who are the problem in the world.

  22. Because non-private entities also engage in the buying, selling, profiting, and even production of an item (or service), does not mean it's not a free market enterprise. Taxes on an item also do not render it's entire production-to-use chain a non-free market enterprise. You seem to think i'm singling out tobacco companies for something special, when i'm not. Businesses here in the US (specifically), have quite a bit of leeway on killing and maiming for profit; certainly more-so than they should. You may not know that because you think corporations shit rainbows and unicorns, but that is the reality of it.

It's either that, or you need to lean what the words and phrases mean before you try to explain them to someone else.

  23. Depends. If you're bass player can't keep time, your lead is faking it, and you singers favorite two words are "lip sync," setting the drums on fire might be enough of a distraction to make people think you're at least entertaining. Hell, if it was still the 90's you might even get a Grammy.

  24. the same way that ciggarete compsniex provef that smoking wzs healthy?

The cigarette companies were successfully sued for $206 BILLION, which was the largest legal settlement in history, and much of that was justified by their intentionally misleading lies. So they are not very good examples of corporations that lied and "got away with it" for other than the first 115 years causing (and still causing in other countries) untold millions of deaths, and massive pain and suffering of tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions more.

Just clarifying that for you. The $206 billion was also a settlement, not a suit, to eliminate any suits that might be brought by states that hadn't already trying to recover medical costs for all the people tobacco companies killed, crippled, maimed, sickened, and exploited in the name of free market capitalism, greed, and the almighty profit.
