It didn't really take Apple that long to follow, and given the numbers (4.x million for Dell; 1.x for Apple; ~.5x for IBM) one must assume that the fraction of volume to market share ( read expense ) isn't a primary motivating factor for Acer and HP. Only bad PR will be in the end. Last time this came up though, Google wasn't too helpful in digging up proprietary market analysis. One must pay for those numbers.
"Of the two" what? CD vs. compressed or lossless? What are you talking about here?
Regardless of my last post, I must admit that I have actually paid USD for iTunes DRM albums.
Honestly, iTunes uncompressed digital out to analog MiniDisk (who but your mama knows) sounds f'n great.
Who the f* wants to waste time scanning album artwork or downloading PDFs of the same? Gimme a break. Buy a CD; get the liner notes and artwork in hard-copy; digitize, masterbatize, or whatever you want with it. Best part: DRM, IRM, MS, Apple, IBM, and Yo' mama can't tell you what to do with it.
I'm curious. If the proportion of people injured or killed in flight is equal to or greater than the proportion of users killed or injured owing to exploding laptop batteries, will Virgin discontinue its flights?
government's that are *shock* looking out for their constituents
And I thought that I, the iTunes one-click sucker shopper, was the constituent. Silly me. I should have realized it was a large multi-national corporation that forces indentured servitude upon Chinese women.

It doesn't really. Only about 15% to 35% of the global market (from my interpretation of provided links) seems to be affected. See:
Hey. I know it's a really, really broad number. But it seemes to be accurate given these sources.
Is is it just me, or is this alot of people?

Another carrot proffered naively by the US in hopes that China will "come around" and re-evaluate its currency?
