+1 to parent, he pretty much covered everything I have learned from my personal experience. I have a 48U full size rack at home, mostly for the pleasure of assembly stuff on it.
My piece of advice, besides 1. going for the full size and 2. being careful with cheap alternatives is 3. choose a relatively bigger depth than what you normally think you need. I went for 60cm and it was barely enough - servers are quite deep, some switches too, and you have to leave room both in the front and back for the cables. My next rack will be a 80cm for these reasons.
Oh, about the cabinet maker: If wife permits and the rack is quiet enough, you can leave it exposed right in the middle of the living room like a friend of mine did. It actually very nerdy-beautiful with all the LEDs and stuff;-)
It won't be long until lawyers from the Saul Zaentz Company in California start threatening the 'Hobbit' race of Flores... not even extinction will save them!
My eyes hurt seeing the greek word "anonymity" becoming "nonymity"!
If you really want to use a similar sounding antonym, please use the etymologically correct "eponymity" (like eponymous, which literally means "bearing a name")
Since "Windows 7 Party Pack" was so broken, I hope they release a "Windows 7 Party Pack SP1" soon. My (few remaining) friends will be thrilled to give it another try
I am baffled! In most of Europe, it would be inconceivable for the executive branch (DoJ) to step into the proceedings of a court this way. The judiciary branch is indepedent of the whims of other branches - at least in theory - and such a recommendation would be met with outcry from just about everyone.
The EU might even require that all desktop environments are used using all possible theme variations CONCURRENTLY.
That way the user will get to freely choose the "OK" button of his liking on a case-by-case basis.
And what about scaling? I am not a DSP expert, but I was thinking that an algorithm working in frequency domain would be more accurate in comparing pictures...
The above algorithm does not take into account the case of two similar images with one having an offset relative to the other.
For example if the offset of the second image is greater than 1/16 the width/height of the picture, then all bits are wrong.
I know this/dev/random band you refer to, but I would highly recommend you to also listen to/dev/urandom.
The first band actually loses it's originality very quickly and you have to wait for ages until they release their next album, while the second has really unlimited potential!

Courts can request help from any expert they deem useful. Higher court instances are also available when a court is not qualified enough.
The DoJ stating it's position will probably influence court ruling one way or another, so it is really "stepping in" in my vocabulary.

So peripheral nervous system problems are OK; but central nervous system problems aren't. Got it.
Wasn't that supposed to be +1 Funny?
At one dollar per pixel, it will cost them almost 19M$!

The parent is right, I already feel much better after this discussion.

So does this mean we are allowed to write "Wire Less" now?
Try auditing Visual Basic 6 for comparison.
Please! Even the lead programmer of the language would feel insulted if asked to do that. Now, what was I doing before reading this slashdot article...

And Quake too! The Quake engine interpolates your movements when your packets arrive too late for other players.
I am so bad at this game, that I usually live much longer when my latency is over 1500ms.

You have just solved a mystery that has been puzzling me for years, thanks for the great advice!
