We all know that any and all technologies that can be used to reduce our consumption of oil eventually vanishes, or the people sell out to big oil. This will be no different.
What a fucking joke...are they going to start asking MTS and Shaw for revenue from internet services because a fiber optic line may be beneath their land? These indians should get a life and a real job.
I'm all for shutting down child porn sites, but it is damned near impossible to stop 100% of child porn.
I think this is an excuse to block out sites like bitorrent sharing sites, and file sharing programs. As those methods *can* be used to exchange child porn. I think this was idea was manufactured by the Canadian versions of the MPAA and RIAA.
As a cancer victim myself (non-hodgekins lymphoma) I welcome any news that promises a potential cure for any type of cancer. The cure for one type of cancer can be modified for other types as well.
I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy, and then a Bone Marrow Transplant, and I have to say, it SUCKS SHIT to have to go through it. If this had been discovered 5 yrs ago, I probably wouldn't have had a need for harmful chemotherapy drugs.
We all damn well know that this will never be mentioned again. Why? The inventors will most likely sell out to Big Oil, and they will in turn bury this technology because no customers, equal no profit.
