And that's the other problem with them doing it the day after. There's no "wait for the torrent", it'll already be downloaded, watched and SEEDPLZed before ABC have even half uploaded.
It's been done that way by both the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK, usually with episodes of comedy shows. The key here though is that both channels don't have affiliates. Both have gone as well as the entire week early (i.e - episode 2 online after episode 1 airs)
I thought that, then I realised that despite buying the console with obliv at least partly in mind, I've pushed buying it back to next month so I can buy Tomb Raider and Football Manager 06 first.
I don't know, it gives me confidence that someone at the top of one of these companies not only has the balls to speak out but also the honesty to have an ambition for his company that isn't "How many people can we get away with sacking?"

That said, in the UK, cheapest MacBook Pro - $2500.
I have to say I didn't "get" the movies at all. The tutorial was utterly useless and it was very confusing. I loved the idea though, I'll probably end up buying it on budget rather than trying to make sense of it at a mate's house.
I liked Fable, I love everything he did with Bullfrog.
But I'm talking brutal commercial reality here. \. isn't exactly representative because every topic about Lionhead becomes "cut and paste microsoft gags with lionhead inserted".
Always has been. It's not a "new" thing at all. A large proportion of the successful studios at other publishers are british. Team 17 (Worms), Rockstar North (Lemmings, Grand Theft Auto), Eden (WRC, Test Drive next-gen), Melbourne House (Test drive current gen, Test Drive LeMans (DC)).
The reason if anything is that while America had a tendancy to buy NES in the 1980s, the british were a lot more keen on programmable computers. The NES sold well, the Master system much better, but they were all blown into the weeds by the Spectrum,CPC and C64 (and later the Amiga). Any bedroom guy could and did write commercial software, that's how Molyneux and Rare (as "Ultimate - play the game") got started, and countless others.
He still isn't fond of them regarding the ripping apart of Bullfrog after he sold out. EA's overall control is the reason he left Bullfrog in the first place. Bullfrog was last seen converting Quake 3 to the PS2.
That said, it'll be interesting to see if it's any easier at Microsoft. They make pains to say they won't be excercising creative control, but another 2 failiures like B+W2 and the movies and you wonder how long that will survive.
Well it's even worse than that. I'm windows only, XP is now 4 years old and I've had a pro licence for a long time. Any new PC I look is pretty much going to not only force me to buy a new licence for XP, but it's bloody XP HOME!
I think the BF2 thing is an expansion of what EA did with the Sims. 1 game, 8 expansions. The inevitable Sims on 360 is seriously going to take advantage of this, and you KNOW it'll work.
If you don't shop there where do you go? Drive 20 miles for everything?
Yes. Or it's as much your fault as anyone elses.
Exactly, they knew full well it was going to turn into
Modded 5 : funny.
So even if they wanted serious answers it was naive to think they'd get them.
That said, AVG for antivirus, run firefox so you don't need anything for spyware.
get Desktop Earth for your background because it looks really cool.
Get power menu to help control always on top windows etc
Get Snagt for screenshots.
Get newsleecher for news
Get SmartFTP for FTP
Get Winamp for media (or VLC if you must)
Don't get itunes. The PC version is hideous compared to the mac one and in this scenario you already have OS-X.
And remember that a surprising number of the apps you use on OS-X, and possibly Linux, have ports. Open Office, Putty, VLC, Firefox etc.
Indeed, to be fair you can stream the Ten O'clock news live too.
I can think of at least 5 ways to block abc.com in windows. I'm sure there's about eleventy billion in linux.
I can't believe many people need "abc.com" for work.
Even if they were free?
And in fact, that's EXACTLY how mp3.com distributed some commercial stuff legally early in their life. They put an ad at the start.
You pay with ads, or you pay Apple $1.99, or you steal it.
Your call.

equvilent HP laptop - $1400.
I loved Munch's. It's easily my favourite of the 4 Oddworld games.
I agree though it's good evidence. It didn't work at EA either, they've actually pulled out of games now.
I was going to flame you until my ontopic comments were ignored for 2 "hillarious" and utterly offtopic anti-windows rants.

Microsoft have a beta desktop search too I think.
Fable did however, sell 2 million copies.

Worms was sent to Team 17 almost complete too.

Or they were just display boxes.
Or he needed something to hide the porn.

Once you rent more than a couple a month you'll mysteriously find netflix being a hell of a lot less "fast"
And you paid $500 over the odds for the hardware to make out on.
Well except that they held the promise of no late fees and only utter morons didn't understand the concept.
Try the MCC Smart. It's less long than most cars are wide, so you simply drive head first at the kerb.:)
