And socialist because the revolution was about entitlement. Entitlement to other peoples land. Entitlement to the benefits of society without having to pay for it. Well one big success they've had was getting rid of Saddam along with the start of turning Iraq into a fundamentalist state. I really don't know much about iTunes. As I said, it seems to me that you need to use the official iTunes program to access the iTunes store. If I bought an iPod, since I don't run any of the supported operating systems I couldn't buy music to put on my player. Open would be if I could just fire up one of my standards compliant browsers, go to the iTunes site and buy music. As it is I can't even legally rip my own music to AAC to put on my iPod. I assume that at least the iPod can show up as a removable drive.
Google paid to use H264 due to it being the best common format that was already being pushed by Apple and Adobe. H264 has only been free to use for video playback for 3 months so you can't say Apple chose it because it was free. You also need a licensed decoder to play that video. Google paid to license their browser and Apple rather paid or didn't have to being one of the consortium that licenses it. It would also be nice if it was free to produce H264 content to put on the internet. Most all video cameras, even the professional ones, are only licensed for personal use. Apple naturally does support open standards on the web as they've traditionally been too small to have much of an affect. If we talk about the Internet, I understand iTunes is proprietary to Apple and officially the only way to use iTunes. Note that the above only applies to the increasing number of countries that recognize software patents.
You must have been thinning pretty small trees. When I was planting, the spacing was 8-10 ft depending on the contract and when spacing it was 13-16 ft depending on the size of the trees and contract. Ideally these should have been spaced again as well. IIRC at 16 ft spacing you ended up with 200 trees per acre. Looking at the Cedar stumps where I live (average about 10 ft diameter) the natural spacing was closer to 50 ft for the mature trees.

My region handles it by firing up a big natural gas generator. Only happens a couple of times a year but they had to make the investment as they guarantee power barring natural disasters like major wind storms.
They just did this locally, probably for same reason. They replaced a few poles and added another wire. Longest part was cutting back the trees. Took about 2 weeks including a day of traffic tie ups. The electric company wants to sell all the power they can as that's how they make money.
In this case it just means that all the CEOs are in inclusion with each other to artificially drive up the price. When you get failures not only getting multi-million golden parachutes but also rehired at insane wages it looks like collusion.
Judging by how many bullets I've had fly by my head, not to mention how many targets I've seen with nothing behind them to stop bullets, I'd imagine allowing personal weapons on planes would result in a lot more deaths then the terrorists can dream off.
