Both of them are hyperbole in this usage, and the parent was right to point this out. He obviously understood that the grandparent was using a figure of speech, just one that was too strong for this circumstance.

It's more than just brand loyalty - it's familiarity. If you're familiar with a Radeon's control panels and options, why go to an Nvidia? It's less important with processors, but still applies.
