  1. Title on First Royal Mummy Found Since Tut is Identified · · Score: 1

I'm pretty sure I was the only one to read "First Royal Mommy Found Since Tut is Identified".

And as I didn't link Tut to the Pharaoh, I didn't re-read the title. I just though "what the heck!' and clicked the rss link...

Just FYI, touching the radio`s antenna to the unit is NOT the best signal transfer you can get. There is a small radius you need to keep from the transmiting antenna to the receiving antenna that depends on frequency. The higher the frequency, lower the radius.

Meanwhile, here in Brazil I just got 1024/512 KB/s. I think the "average" here is somewhere near 600/256 KB/s. Btw, I'm paying something like 60$ for that ADSL.

  7. Re:hum on Why Do Computers Take So Long to Boot Up? · · Score: 1

Because the microwave doesn't take 30 seconds to "turn on". You plug it to the wall (considering that the food is already there) and it is ready to work. You just press 3, 0, go. But of course, If your microwave ran Windows it would take 30 seconds to "boot up", another 5 or 10 so that the 3 that you entered appears on screen and eventually it would crash in the middle of the process.

Maybe after October 29 we can borrow you guys our voting machines so that you can use them. I mean, those are not the same, are they? Heck, maybe we can even switch machines BEFORE October 29 and change our election result, becouse re-electing that idiot that Lula is really is something we CANNOT handle!
