    FWIW, I have a Tivo HD with 2 cablecards from Comcast and it works without any problems at all.

    Vista comes in 32 bit flavor too, you know? 512mb RAM, you can run Vista on it - just need to start looking at shutting down some of the extra features (though the installer should detect your memory and do this for you imho). I haven't had any problems with VS 2005 or 2008 nor have I heard of any - sounds like an isolated problem to your particular install.

    1) There is a run command - you have know where to enable it. Right click on start -> properites -> customize -> check box in "Run command" 2) I tried exactly what you posted and had no problem at all. Taskmanager did not show any additional threads for each letter typed. Computer completely responsive no matter what is typed.

    I do not have to bring anything to the table, since I did not make any assertions of truth. If you think that strawmen and hasty generalizations provide a sound footing for your argument, then perhaps more education is needed. The next time you make an assertion of truth, be prepared to back it up. Using logical fallacies to "prove your point" doesn't do very much for you. It hard to bring to have any type constructive discussion with such a poor argument.

    Of course you can get IE 7 on XP too, so there is no incentive to purchase Vista.

    I also like the use of the word "ban", which doesn't appear anywhere in the memo. No negative implications with that word.

    If you are going to bash someone, at least be a bit more subtle.

    IANAE, but I would imagine they would use some type of resealing technology that we already have (should protect agains small punctures). Plus if the bags are in sections, then you could lose one section but not the entire structure.
