Justice is about making people accountable for their actions by removing them from society because they are dangerous or taking away freedoms temporarily.
Hacking off body parts is permanent revenge, not accountability.
Agree with me on what? I simply asked how they are different, other than the object of attraction.
As far as I can tell, the only difference is in whether or not society regards them as acceptable, and whether or not society thinks these groups are more or less likely to sexually assault other people.
Beating people in prison for making picture books, sabotaging rehabilitation programs........and you want to work in the criminal justice system. Fantastic.
Depends on the type of monitoring. I think it would be reasonable to prohibit the use of certain services and websites, but there's a lot of potential for abuse here especially once you get into spyware territory. We can't simply discard concerns about government intrusion and abuse of power just because the case involves sex offenders.
People organize their entire lives on computers, they're a virtual extension of your mind in many ways. If we get used to the idea that government can impose total monitoring on a computer because of some criminal punishment, what sort of other offenses will it end up being used for?
......from what i can tell, this is NOT a way to deduplicate existing filesystems or even layer it on top of existing data, but a new filesystem operating perhaps like eCryptfs, storing backend data on an existing filesystem in some FS-specific format.
So, having said that, does anyone know if there is a good way to resolve EXISTING duplicate files on Linux using hard links? For every identical pair found, a+b, b is deleted and instead hardlinked to a? I know there are plenty of duplicate file finders (fdupes, some windows programs, etc), but they're all focused on deleting things rather than simply recovering space using hardlinks.
What's the difference between Mono and.NET? How does the liberated open source software community connect to these standards? Where does De Icaza fit in the puzzle?
For this and more, tune in next week for another exciting chapter of "As The Monopoly Turns"
Congratulations - you are a pedophile! Either that or a software engineer, but we've lost your paperwork and are just going to go with pedophile to save some time.
Apparently you've never seen Japanese video games, there's no difference.
You tossed in that word "rape" like it was just par for the course.
Straight people rape other people all the time, so do gay people. That's why we have a special word for it.
I also don't believe i ever said anything about relationships.

Well aren't you a precious little snowflake....

I think what you meant to say is, attraction does not inherently lead people to rape the object of their attraction.
The criminal justice system is for justice, not revenge.

Because it would be cruel and unusual punishment?
Won't these species just become extinct if they can't successfully reproduce?
If I couldn't find a good tool from responses here I would have written one for sure.
Hmm, yea i've used FSLint but I didn't pay close enough attention to the options it seems :)
Thanks
That can be managed for simple use cases, but yea i see your point.
Sweet! Thanks a lot :)
Plus you get the "real" ZFS, zones, and tightly integrated, bootable system rollbacks using zfs clones :)

It's all very well standing around hinting what a huge penis you have, but sooner or later you're going to have to pull down your pants.
We are talking about internet video here, what did you expect it would be used for?
Linus is accepting patches from NAMBLA!!
I think he's also accepting patches from NAMPLA, look how fat this penguin has become after all the abuse:

You said what you said Miguel, now suck it.
What is this some kind of sex for irony exchange program?
Why not call it Mono 4.0 then?

The current protections came AFTER the war was over, did they not?

Bah, i've seen spinning drives do what i mentioned before, not SSDs :)
What the hell are you talking about?
