The fate of Microsoft is that it is doomed for the 404 bin.. Well maybe not, but CmdrTaco thinks so. If JonKatz had of said something like that we would all be standing around mourning the loss of our beloved Blue Screen of Death, but when CmdrTaco opens his mouth nobody seems to care.

Ok, so I want to get a chuck of code stored in Germany that is illegal in the States. What is stopping me from using that ancient peice of hardware called a modem (you know those things that use telephone lines). And call up a ISP in Germany, or even Canada (cheaper rates), and download it through that link. No US government controlled routers, in fact no US routers at all. Any other router will think that my computer is in Germany.
They will never be able to do that unless they try controlling everything.
One other thing: I would not be illegal for another German to mirror that chuck of code, or the television show.. It may be possible for the government to block icravetv.com, but they could never find, and block joesbox.dhs.org/icravemirror
And if anyone wants to help building a decent IM, one that doesn't take 11 megs of memory, check out the Mozilla-IM newsgroup netscape.public.mozilla.rt-messaging on news.mozilla.org

Some of my friends hang out on Efnet, others on DalNet.. To see if they are online I have to log on to both servers. With an IM, it is right there, in a nice colourful list.
Heh, yep everybody sits there clicking the 'Check Email' button, trying to have an IM chat with somebody about if the world should be made flay again, 'Check Email' 'Check Email' 'Check Email' No, the main thing about IM clients is the message is delivered to you, you don't have to retreive it off a server somewhere...
Could be crummy... But crumby works too. It's supposed to be a 10 megabit connection... But I have a hard time getting over 2000 cps loading/. whereas I can get 5000 cps on my 56k from home... And it's got a few bad routers somewhere that keep giving my HTTP 503 errors... Crumby, you guys get the peanut butter and jelly sandwichs, and I have to wait all day just for the crumbs...
Yeah, sure the web is a living thing, but we as humans are simply observing it swim around... We are not part of this 'web', nobody exists, simply machines... the tin cans and strings as referred to in the article.
Nobody has any control of this thing, and like a jellyfih it will reach out and sting us all, then mercilessly devour us....
They don't even know how to use Frontpage properly 'New Page 2' hahah
