80ms is ping to the access point. Throw in the rest of the internet (since odds are the counter strike server you're playing on won't be running at that AP) and you're looking at significantly higher pings.
If you claim that your licence applies to the lot then your are enguaging in both fraud and copyright infringement.
Er, I think a distro is more akin to a database - the individual elements may well be free, but the compilation is protected. Same thing here - the distro layout is protected, but anyone can take the GPL elements and reuse them at will. Just don't copy the layout (or the non-GPL software)
But bear in mind: their acquisitions were made with Nortel shares (presumably newly issued shares). These would appear on the balance sheet at issue cost, which has now collapsed (down 90% or so from peak).
So, Nortel bought now (nearly) worthless assets with now (nearly) worthless shares.
In a word, no. Nortel's "loss" is almost entirely on paper - they are writing off goodwill. Or, in other terms, they're publicly admitting that they paid far too much for what they got in their acquisition binge, and are adjusting thier books to reflect this.
Nope, not a legit use. Remember, kiddies, HTML is not a page description language. It is meta tags identifying data. The fact that the more anal-retentive want to dictate precisely how things should look is irrelevant; my browser, my prefs dictate display, not your god-awful layout or bizarre colour scheme.
If you want complete control over layout, don't use HTML - use TeX.
Or how about wireless? Sure, there's that $400 Canadian setup fee (around $260 US), but isn't $50 Canadian ($35 US) per month a reasonable fee for a 2 Mb connection, with a 10 Gb limit?
Disclaimer: I do own shares in Storm Internet's parent company.
You're forgetting the payola that's still rampant in the music industry - pay to play still determines whose discs are played on commercial radio.
Get rid of the "independant promoters" who work this deal and CDs can drop another $2-4 each.
Let you ego grow as big as your hair, promise the world and get all the fanboys ravenously awaiting your masterwork, burn through $20M as quickly as possible, and then release Daikatana^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H a really lousy game.
Here in Ottawa there are multiple DSL resellers, plus the cable company. IStop has good tech support, let you run servers, and has the best local prices.
Example? I'm in a highrise condo and am paying $29 Canadian (That's just under $20 US) for 1.2M/128k line. For an extra $12 Canadian ($8 US) I could move up to a 3M/800k line with a static IP.
Looking for a great DSL provider? Move to Ottawa and get IStop.
This is not remotely (no pun intended) interesting - OF COURSE signals from wireless keyboards and mice can be detected at a distance. If they couldn't be detected, they wouldn't work.
Correction: rounding up a few makers who have fallen out of favour with the Communist Party. Well-connected officials and their children need not fear the crackdown.

If Taco and friends want to play at journalism, they can make the minimum effort required.
So unless you have images turned off in your browser, you've agreed!

Is such a thing even possible?
Tragically, the death of Danielle Bunten probably means MULE will never rise again.

There is cosmic justice in the world...
Besides, there's no Nortel plant in Shawinigan.
Shouldn't that be "I am therefore I Grok"?
BUZZZ.
You have Godwin'd. Please try again...

...or start writing your own drivers...

Then the judge finds out that a bunch of people manipulated his court in bad faith.
Then your lawyers get disbarred. So where's the bad part ;) ?

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Ah! Another NT domain...
Sorta like being a Kennedy...
Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong site - I thought this was slashdot.org, not slashdot.us.
Silly me, confusing TLDs like that...
Prudence and moderation in all things.
(Well, we could sometimes do with a little less modeation around here. But that's a whole other topic...)
