As we continually push the limits of computing power the capabilities and expectations have grown in stride. Maybe what can be done with our new hardware is only partially understood by the programmers. From the days of doom to quake to quake 2 to doom 3 the ground that was taken in each programming step marvelled gamers. With limited computing capabilities, only so much time could be spent on certain areas in the programming aspect. Increase the computing power and the capabilities of a game go from a still bmp image to sprites to complex particle systems which change the story from kings quest text at the bottom of the screen to diablo characters to world of warcraft and its thousands of real time character interactions. the point? the programmers need to know what they have within their grasps
If a large corporation's site like the Sony site could be so easily compromised, how are we supposed to guage the level of security of any other site? Another question, if the security of Sony was compromised by using Amazon in some way, doesn't that mean that those who use Amazon are potentially at just as much risk as those who were compromised at Sony? So let's say nono it's a completely different thing, how can you 100% guarantee that? On a more constructive note, how do we eliminate this kind of access in future? My suggestion.... eliminate anonymous internet access permanently.
If the US Government were smart, I know I am stretching it... they would follow China's suit. Create a damned firewall.
I am all for helping building the Border Wall, sign me up. I'll even donate some cement.
Unfortunately you're so afraid of everything you'll end up blowing up your own country. Fortunately the wall will keep it contained. You are the US what do you have to be afraid of... panic zealots
Do you seriously believe that the FCC is there for your "protection" or even your interests?
Do you fully understand what the FCC does?
Aside from it being a handy repository to look up the manufacturer for your nifty item you don't get to have any idea what they do, why they have their studies and what they are used for.
Face it, America is a consumer/police/war country dictated by top dollar on political view. If any of these views infringe on any corporation that funds the politicians, be sure policy will change or be erased to allow the money to flow. Fortunately every citizen is too weak and afraid to make a stand. LoL STupid humans.
Don't forget that Microsoft was one of the first OS's to constantly call home. In the beginning there was major uproar on forums as people noted the intermittent and random network usage. This fueled Linux users even more as they delved into ripping the packets apart to see what sort of data Microsoft was receiving.
This then sparked an uproar against "calling home" and especially against activation, to no avail.
The constant data collection and need for control is what sets Microsoft aside and which has made them such a notably distasteful organization.
So many companies create products that claim to do X yet they do Y and Z
These guys are going about this the wrong way.
Sell their product as a "Mouse and Rat Ridder", could call it... RatWire...that has a "side effect" that typically renders cell signals useless. Then put a disclaimer up that "Cel signals may not work on the premises" and include it with the product.. then PRESTO slap on your fcc warnings if u need them and make millions .
Wtvr - so many ppl are whiner crybabies about what they deserve... you don't deserve anything, you rather enjoy the privilege of everything you have, including wireless.

I.Q. Should be a requirement to vote, let alone stand in office.
