Microsoft doesn't care if they lose customers by not supporting Vista yet. They don't care if their sillyness is getting slashdotted for not supporting their OWN product. They're allowed to take their time with Zune, it's only first generation. Xbox 360 ended up dominating the market even with the bugs and glitches.
Microsoft is like a player with women. They don't need to follow the rules, or care about what other people think, or do what seems to be the most logical answer. They know they will always end up the winner.
