    Until you realize that ReRAM(memresistors) will have several times the storage of SSDs for the same amount of silicon, and it will start showing up next decade. Once those prices come down, they will be near the price of current mechanical HD. Silicon shrinks are out-pacing HD storage density increases.

    I've never lost any SSD (since the first SLC days) and most of my traditional hard disks have failed, some of them with total loss of data.
    Now you got my feedback go by an SSD.

    God, you remind me the LP people who did not buy CDs, because it somehow, in a magical way, LP sounded better to them.

    I'll tell you a secret: I don't believe you were an idiot. I believe you were a troll. Because even an idiot could successfully install Ubuntu or Fedora for example. May be not Arch or Gentoo, but these for sure. I mean, wtf, you just insert the disc and press "Yes" "Yes" "Next" "Go" "Yes" etc.

    My own parents, aged 61 and 72 use Linux without problems, provided that I have placed icons of web browser, wireless connection manager and login/logout icons on the desktop and bookmarks of Facebook, Gmail, etc on the bookmark bar.

    Stallman is indeed an ideologist but he has written also way too much no-nonsense software.
    His ideological organization, what you call religion, has created many tools, indeed they could make up an entire system, if there was a decent kernel.
    Actually, without either his ideology or his organizations tools, Linus might had not managed to build Linux so efficiently and so free.

    Are you serious?? $25 for a 1.5TB cartridge?
    To remind you, a blu ray disk of 50GB may cost 20 euros on plastic shiny retail packaging, while LTO5 (1.5TB) tapes may cost a hundred.
    $25 would be a STEAL!

    A game would be much better looking in a 30" 2560x1600 monitor with "high" detail rather than a 17" 1366x768 monitor with "max" detail.

    Not an IP expert, but here's _my_ $0.02

    mp3 is not the best format ever made. Countless formats offer better quality/size ratio. But because Franhoffer does not care to collect any fees from the average Joe and because it does NOT implement any "security" feature, it prevailed.
