now that's a good idea.
oh, and nobody said anything about travelers... "get private citizen data" not only travelers. Reminds me of the "Team America" movie - Police the world. There are a few words that come to mind to describe it, none of them acceptable here though.
he wouldn't be the first to live, there was a russian soldier, with more than 5000 jumps, that had a parachute failure. he suvived the jump, manouvering his body in flight.
Google's apps are making their way into more and more installers, so I think better way would be adding a switch to the installer. Like "No, I don't want anything except the main app" and that's not Irfanview author's job.
this is even more of a problem since more and more installers like Irfanview's or Adobe's include Google Desktop (and/or toolbar) and there is no way to skip them when doing automated installs... what a sick trend.
yes. because there's only so much we can do to secure our networks. we don't have the funding to do it properly and some things just cost money. In my workplace there is no way to secure boot options, because bios always allows damn BootMenu with just one press of a key and no password on it.
Keep in mind that we are also securing your grades from deletion and you from writing all those tests again.
We can be driven by business needs, but still, we should choose our path of doing things. Imagine business app written by marketing dept.... kinda like the stories you read on http://worsethanfailure.com/, or worse. Oh, and outsorcing has nothing to do with it, they can ignore the business' needs just as well as we can.

Don't mess with your IT staff and it's paths.
X-37B not X-38B (there propably is a difference... whatever)

Wouldn't that be useful for unlimited internet connection? like, EVERYWHERE and unlimited bandwidth?

how about when your installing it silently with switches on 100 machines? no switch for "skip google".
