    Without the rest of the world your country wouldn't exist. If the rest of the world isolated your country today your economy would be in ruins - in a very short amount of time.

    Hi, I'm one of the original "xbox hackers". When I post a comment like that, you can view it as fact.

    The ONLY thing Live checks is a hash of the bios in ram. The algorithm used is TEA btw, and now I just disclosed to everyone who knows their crypto how to play on Live with a modified bios.

    The ONLY thing Live checks is a hash of your bios in ram. You're free to modify your C: as much as you like, as well as switching to a larger harddrive, changing your videooutput mode (yes, the one used when the modchip is turned off as well), region etc.

    Some people know how to play on Live with a modified bios - it's actually not that hard. There's no point in releasing an easy way for everyone to do it though - Microsoft would just update the code that checks for modifications.

    I judge the US by its current actions - and the fact that it seems 50% of the population likes it.

    Kerry seems to be the lesser of two evils, but his views aren't far from Bush's. The US will still be a fascist nation ever after this election - you have a lot to do to change that.

    (Please look up the definition of "fascist" if you don't think the word fits. It does.)

    Oh I fully agree. HIV might be just that virus you're looking for btw - check up on the number of infected (and the increasion rate) in the former Soviet block region and Africa.

    The human race still cannot cure the common cold - let alone any other virus-caused infection really.

    Why should I back pedal? I fully consider the Earth to be a resource exploitable by the species that "won" evolution (at least currently). That is what survival of the fittest leads to - no matter which species is the fittest. It's natural.

    That said, I don't see a point in doing _unnecessary_ things - but there are very few of those.

    Umm no - we definitely "try to survive".

    All actions cause harm, to someone. Being sentient means we have a choice, other animals don't. It doesn't change the fact that whatever Man does is still natural, although I agree we shouldn't lay waste when it's not necessary.

    Claiming that we should try to save each and every species going extinct is however very unnatural.

    Species going extinct is a part of the _natural_ evolution of this planet - and has always been long before man. Man is also part of this planet's natural evolution, which makes Man's actions _natural_.

    It's _unnatural_ to keep species alive when they should've gone extinct due to _natural_ causes (changing climate etc).

    Did the US aircraft actually come under fire? If not, how did they confuse celebratory small-arms fire with anti-aircraft gunnery? How well did they identify the targets attacked by the AC-130 guns?

    ... that was afghanistan. If you Google, you'll find a similar incident in Iraq.

    The US army idiots have no respect for "foreigners" at all - as clearly shown by the systematic and top-ordered abuse of prisoners. That's why they'll happily bomb just about anyone - because you all seem to think that "Moslem" == "Terrorist" (turn on the TV every once in a while if you didn't know that already)

    USA - the land of the idiots.

    That's REALLY EASY. Planes are flying quite high up, gun shots to celebrate a wedding are done in a very different way compared to gunshots fired to actually bring planes down. The pilots are also able to see that there's a ceremony taking place and they SHOULD have been educated in the traditions of the countries they're invading and thus wait a few minutes (fly a few kilometres away even!) and see what happens.

    But no no. Trigger happy US idiots likes to kill a lot of civilians instead.

    You really don't get it. It has nothing with how hard-core things really are in the game - the games SELL on what they might or might not contain. Come on - even americans are able to understand what N.U.D.E hints to - even though there might not be nudity in the actual game.

    Here are some screenshots from the next incarnation of DoA. I think somewhere there's still a fighting game - but mostly it's about showing of scantily clad women.

    I'm even closer. I've had the cruise control mechanical mechanism for increasing/decreasing the set speed in small steps fail and "vibrate" against "increase". The net result was a sharp acceleration. However, of course the brakes worked, and the cruise control has an "off" switch as well ...
