    That's explained in the Tags section of the Slashdot FAQ. Part of that section of the FAQ says:

    Tags elsewhere are your own personal playground and nobody cares if you mess around. On Slashdot, abusive uses of tags could have negative consequences. Precisely what that means, we don't know yet.

    Yeah, no kidding. It'd be deeper than a cut from a "normal" sheet of paper, but so much narrower that it would likely heal much more quickly.... depending on just how deep the cut is..

    Are you referring to devices that generate wind, or to devices that generate electricity using wind?

    Heck, I DON'T keep the wrong change if I catch the mistake, and if I catch it past the point when I can do something about it (or the quantity is minimal) I feel shitty for the rest of the day... I really don't see how you can do it again and again.

    I'm the same way, and I've found that most of the time the store/etc. will thank me for being honest and give me the lower price/extra cash/whatever anyway. It makes me feel happy for the rest of the day and I get treated better by that establishment in the future!

    I believe the real problem isn't the climate, or the high carbon dioxide atmosphere; the real problem is that Mars's atmosphere is very low density. The air pressure in Mars (less than 1% of that on Earth according to Wikipedia) won't be sufficient for us earthlings to breathe comfortably if at all.
    Right, and the low atmospheric density largely results from Mars' low gravity.

    Even if it contained more oxygen/etc., it would be hard to keep it around the planet in sufficient density to make it worthwhile to terraform for a large number of inhabitants.

    Does anyone know if Mars could be made more "livable" if it had a stronger magnetic field? Would that hold more atmosphere and/or block cosmic rays/etc.?
