British comedian Dom Joly, presenter of Trigger Happy TV, thought the joke was on him when he dropped his laptop, damaging a hard drive containing 5,000 photos, 6,000 songs, a book he was writing and all of his newspaper columns.
Is this supposed to be funny for some other reason than that he is a comedian and they managed to incorporate the word "joke"? The others maybe have some "ha, ha! I would never do THAT" appeal, but this one is out of place.
The distro name 'edgy eft' does not contain alliteration, because both words start with vowells. It does have assonance.
Actually, 'dapper drake' doesn't have alliteration either. 'Dapper donkey' would, but it's less appealing because of the imagery involved.
The music halfway through the promo video is rather a surprising choice. Did they steal it from the Master and Commander soundtrack? Anyone know where it's from?

The first article is legitimate news but the second two aren't even close. Who goes to the trouble of making that many images just to slam a new product? Slashdot shouldn't be giving press to scrubs like these.
