...politicians can no longer get away with the same bullshit they once did. Imagine if the Internet was around during Nixon's days, or World War II. Things would have been extremely different.
Politicians have always lied...the difference is that the common person can now find proof about it in a matter of seconds with a single Google search.
Frederick hopes 'if Righthaven shows continued success, that it will find other clients looking for a solution to the theft of copyrighted material' and ends his 'editorial' (or is it an ad?) inviting other newspapers to become Righthaven customers.
I don't agree with making the guy look like a pedo, that's going too far...but that is a libel case, not an instance where disciplinary action should have been taken by the school. Leave it to the cops.
I can explain why Zappa appeals to me, but first a slight bit of backstory:
For fun, I produce spacey, ambient tunes. Music like this involves layering textures together. What may sound like only one or two different noises is actually dozens of different synths and samples layered and mixed.
Zappa was a master of layers. The way he could combine seemingly infinite noises into one, cohesive texture was a monumental achievement. Beyond that, if you really listened hard to his music, that cohesive texture could be broken down to the point where you could hear the individual components that served as a foundation for the whole sound. Being able to create rich textures that are simultaneously seamless yet individualized is, from a musician's standpoint, a mindfuck of an accomplishment.
Zappa's appeal isn't in his sound so much as it is in his technique and sheer ability...at least for me. I find his work to be quite inspirational.
Frank Zappa was one of the greatest musical geniuses that our species has ever produced. To even remotely insinuate that we could assume his intentions or possible course of action is douchebaggery of the highest order.
...make me kinda sad. On the one hand, I LOVE when I was born (1984). I'm old enough to remember a time without the Internet, without a PC in every home, and when cell phones were the size of briefcases...yet I'm still young enough to take advantage of technological innovations, keep up with advances, and appreciate the impact it has on our lives.
On the other hand, I wonder how much amazing stuff I would see had I been born even just 20 years later. In my lifetime I have already watched (for example) the NES as a state of the art system turn into the average gaming PC having a video card capable of over 1 teraflop worth of processing power. How much extra innovation and advancement would I see if I had STARTED with those 1+ teraflop cards?

I don't live anywhere near the area your site covers, but it looks like a great source! If I lived around there, I would definitely utilize your information (and make sure to give credit, of course:-))
Go ahead, "copyright" your investigated information. Good luck suing the hundreds of thousands of blogs and websites that will still link to your info. And besides, if they provide a link to the news company's website as a way to cite a source (just like I do with my own webpage when I post about content I have read elsewhere), what's the problem? You still get credit, you still get the traffic.

Ah, THAT'S the one I was looking for. Thank you :-)
I think you are confusing it with this.
Emulators, remote desktop control, a nice little side companion for reference while playing Video Games/MMOs, etc...

So, is this possibly a Glenn Beck/Goldline type of situation?
No...if we were, they would be RealVideo or even Vivo Video(!!!)
Wasn't there a similar impact last year observed around this time as well? /offtopic Coincidentally, I posted about this on my site this morning

Note that I didn't say which President.
Hit that submit button too quick.

If we can make fun of the POTUS, we can make fun of a principal.
Seriously. You're in charge of a bunch of angsty teenagers. You aren't nearly as badass as you think you are. People talk smack...get over it.
Good grief! You Zappa fanboys are worse than hardcore RMS flacks!
Click here for an explanation of my opinion.
I think you are being a big over the top. At the worst and frankly the best this seems nothing more that idle silliness.

Show some fucking respect.
So a bunch of companies are suing one company/website. How is that the same thing as suing hundreds of thousands of individual sites?

Sorry, forgot to add the ::sarcasm:: qualifier. Yes, I have a problem with this. No, I don't believe it would ever actually pass.

A new addition to the joke repertoire! Thanks for that:-)
If this happens, who will watch the Watchmen?
Anyone know why you screw a sheep on the edge of a cliff?
Makes the sheep push back harder.
Actually, I suppose that makes sense...hell, they've been using it on the ISS.
...so if the mission is supposed to be a "true" simulation, does that mean the cosmonauts would be using Twitter during the real voyage?
