really is? Every school district that I have had the "pleasure" of working with has had some form of financial fuck up to deal with. Whether it was the head of the district awarding huge networking contracts to next door neighbors, bribery, large scale theft, stupid investments in overpriced under performing unneeded software/hardware or certain OS manufactures throwing their weight around ( see previous statement). There NEVER EVER seems to be any punishment or accountability for the FUCKING waste of money. And what do we get? Morons graduated that can't spell comment let alone put any meaningful ones in their code, but goto that they can spell.

But I know lets just raise a bond or property taxes some more and piss more money down the rat hole that has become the American public education system.

Wow did these morons even try to get beyond their preconceived beliefs? Three years ago I was a Windows devotee when I was given a Powerbook and I never opened my Toshiba laptop again. Sure there's some software out there I can't run with out Windows but I wasn't running it on the laptop anyways. The dedicated stuff like Milestone Enterprise, software for my pcr1000 (needs a real serial port) and some utilities all ran from a dedicated XP box. Today with a MacBook Pro they all run on the mac using Parallels. As for X11 and Open Office come on I walked my 65 year Father (who breaks O/S's be entering the same room) through loading the Apple dvd, installing X11, downloading OpenOffice and running the program. I worked with an native "nation" with a casino for 5 years, not for the casino but the government. I can tell you all about the silver spoon and the total unmitigating disaster it is. You have kids with hardly any education getting hundreds of thousands of dollars dropped in there laps when they become adults, and within a few years they can't even keep a cheap Chevy from being repo'ed. On many occasions I would say the kids should be made to take some comprehensive financial courses before they got their money.

The only smart thing the tribe did was start a huge pistachio farm as a backup to the casino. But even today the silver spoon you all owe me mentality rips these people to threads. Kinda of new trail of tears.
