OK, a game can be very difficult and be considered GOTY. But what about a game that's easy but sold millions and surely gave mone profit to its company than Demon's Souls? And I'm speaking about New Super Mario Bros. This game is not easy as most 'casual' games, but a gamer can finish it with 99 lives without much effort. And still, it sold a lot, it recieved very good critics, and more importantly, it's fun.
Also, there's no other reason to name mods that are still in progress (The Crysis ones). A mod that is not ready and has been not played can't be called a 'best mod'.
Show a normal/casual consumer a DVD movie and then a Blu-Ray movie. Technically, it may be better, but seeing with your own eyes shows little difference. Is a normal person capable of paying 3 o 4 times the price of a DVD to watch something that looks a little better? I don't think so.
I also feel the Blu-Ray is not a great step forward as DVD was from CD. 50GB is already not too much for many.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a Blu-Ray now, for the reasons I said and because I'm sure there's a 'better' technology about to appear [Holographic?].
There's already a second prototype called ParticleMan. From the same page linked in the article:
'ParticleMan simulates gravitational attraction between particles in a cloud. This system was used to study such gravitational dynamics as orbits, nebula formation, star formation and particle streams from sources like pulsars and black holes.'
Interesting? You bet.
Maybe they can't talk to us, maybe they now that we would react agreesively, and try to kill them. Maybe they use a form of communication unknown to us, something that we can't understand and use.
I only hope they don't want to kill us:P
This must be after we over-populate the floating cities here in Earth......although we may die because of Global Warming before something like this becomes real.
What helped Star Wars to gain so much popularity were just two things:
-Incredible special effects by its time.
-Darth Vader.
I think the story of SW is not very depth, in fact, it is very simple, and actors from before and now were always of average quality [Except of Harrison Ford]. SW is[was] a phenomenon because of special effects, and teh character Darth Vader, with his evil look and voice.
I like SW, but it's not THAT good to deserve such analysis, I think.
...and in my Gmail account I never see even one.

To me, this article is more interesting because of the AZERTY keyboard configuration. I didin't know that existed.
Now, this is perfect for some homemade pr0n videos.
And here I thought that with 2 PCs and a Wii connected at 400kbps in total was enough.
I remember when I first had Internet, in 1998. I just surfed 20 minutes a day because of the high cost, and mainly IRC, ICQ, and my ISP's web xD
Good for you, but being an Anonymous Coward makes that useless and worthless.
" I spent a while googling "159357" trying to figure out how to categorize it, then realized it was a pattern on the numeric keypad."
I've never used that password, though I didn't have to think for a second to associate those numbers to the KeyPad... I'm a genius?
"Have you ever wanted to just sit on your couch and watch YouTube on your TV?"
No.
Besides, you can enter YouTube through your Wii since the Internet Channel exists.
Just like a Fire Rock for an Eevee to evolve into a Flareon?
I have a save this video, in a few years, we'll see this as "the beggining" of our doom [If we stay alive, of course].

"The differences aren't small, you just have to know how to compare them."
That's why I said "casual". A casual user doesn't know the differences between 1080i and 1080p, or HD Ready, HD Full, etc.
To sell something new, you first need to teach your potential buyers. I don't see Sony, or anyone, doing that.

But Minesweeper is a better game, I play that more often than Solitaire.
Wouldn't it be more interesting when the population reaches 6,969,696,969? That day I'll see your face =)
A Games article that doesn't talk about games.
Nearly 30 years to ship 79TB, and in 2 years from now, they can easily ship 200TB.
...flying cars? That's something humanity's been expecting for decades.
Let the HTML Wars begin!
Where's sex.com?!
