Perhaps the next big improvement is fixing the bandwidth to secondary storage.
This is kinda already happening. I'm just happy for the noise and power reduction.
Because, even if evil men can be "corrected" by men with rifles, those men with rifles have done something that we as a society frown upon.
I don't frown upon it. These men who 'correct' and do something that 'society frowns upon' are to be commended. They see the world and they don't like the way it is.
And they work hard to make our country a better place. If it really is true that 'society frowns upon' what they do to protect us, then really god help us all.
Not only that but you only draw a weapon in case of imminent danger to *yourself*.
Any other kind of public display of your gun will probably get you a misdemeanor.
Why don't you study up on concealed carry laws before you decry them?
When will microsoft realize that to have an honest to god community you have to let it run free?
Other wise all you get is Richards trying to stick it to the 'Man'.
I have generally stuck to Ubuntu on the laptop for ease of use,
but Debian has really gained some polish in this latest stable version so I'm running it on my Desktop.
So far I have no complaints. Etch did a lot better job configuring X than Sarge did when I installed it
on my circa 2002 IBM NetVista (odd name now...) with a 1.7 Celeron, which only has 256mb ram. Gnome
worked fine on startup, but I quickly installed Xfce (Fluxbox had some kind of problem but I didn't look
to hard into it) and now it's every bit as snappy as my computer at work (HP laptop, Win XP, 1G ram, Core Duo 1.8)
just for the sake of argument...why is this troll and not flamebait?
But really I see way to many repeated spams here. You've all seen them making
staight up nonsensical jibs at geeks. This would be my only argument for eliminating
AC posting.
You should really give Debian a whirl. I have generaly stuck to Ubuntu on the laptop for ease of use,
but Debian has really gained some polish in this latest stable version so I'm running it on my Desktop.

XFCE and FluxBox also do this, in addition to mouse wrapping.
Just move your mouse off the edge of the screen and it will switch desktops accordingly.
Very hand for multitasking.
One of the most agrivating AI's i have ever played against was the original Phantom Crash Area Rankers.
They were dead stupid as far as guessing where you were at but in aiming...well I think they were just rescriped aimbot's from CS.
I wish that game had gone deeper than it did. That's one game that could really benifit from human-like AI.
Best is a realative term. I think the Best way to become rich is to work hard.
Maybe its becuase of the "I want to be rich, gimmie!" mentality that the original
alure of the 'American Dream' has been lost.
The 'American Dream' to me is to work hard and be justly rewarded by it, whether that be money or personal enjoyment of the work.
Wasn't that Bruce Lee?
But like it or not, Linux is going to go more places with Ingo's Real Time additions that without it.
The current O(1) schedule is not entirely fair to attain so named O(1) performance. That's how jackass.

odd....I just moved from MT to Iowa....
Apperently 'sticking it to the man' follows me where ever I go.....
Not the way it is...but the way it should be.

I would bet money that some one who could have carried a gun legally would have shot the assailant legally.
Not only that but you only draw a weapon in case of imminent danger to *yourself*.

Actually in a way they do....unless you are one of those geeks who buys more than one videogame system....
*runs and hides*
I think the PC that I picked up at the swap meet already smells like french fries.....
And if you were half of a decent consumer you wouldn't pay for P.O.S. unfinished products.
I blame the products of Microsoft, Electronic Arts and MTV on the complacency of the uneducated consumer.

go figure.....
N/ot that it does any good to ask an AC anything, but what about Linux then?
just for the sake of argument...why is this troll and not flamebait?

This should get some more informative points!
Who knew I would enjoy groovn to futuristic sex robotz....
Nothing to see here folks, move along....
So buy a Panasonic ToughBook. Engineered and Made in Japan, and aguably more bomb proof than a ThinkPad.
XFCE and FluxBox also do this, in addition to mouse wrapping.

I want a t-shirt that says: "Windows XP is a Sad Emo-Server"

whither they do or don't record is of little concern to me.
The fact that it is ok to do such a thing is still what rubs me the wrong way.
