If Earth had no Humans, I'm sure the environment would balance itself out, but with 7 Billion people, and all the damage we've done, I don't think the pendulum will be swing back anytime soon. Human's have already cut down more than a third of the forest, and we've polluted the oceans enough to increase the acidic level a significant amount. Look around you, you're not surrounded by jungle, it's millions of roads and black rooftops. We are destroying the planet, and if you think otherwise, then your the idiot fool!
They didn't have millions of roads and buildings - Millions of years ago. Even if it was warmer back then, at least you had some good shade. I don't think all the tar roads, and black roof tops are going to do well with 140F temperatures.
More and more countries and demanding the consumption of goods and resources. This has created multiple systems to deal with an ever increases population, with a growing appetite to have what everyone else has. It's unsustainable, and the results are, hording from the rich, and quid-pro-quo from the Governments. Eventually, the whole system is going to blow up in our faces.
I love the original LSL series, especially the first one. I'd love to see it in High Def with actual voice. Would also be fun to play on the iPad or Android tablet.
This could work both ways. It's true that this information is dangerous in the wrong hands, but I'm sure it will get out eventually. On the other hand, the information could be used to find a cure if more people had access to it. Imagine if there was an outbreak, and only a few people had the cure, do you think they would share it with the rest of the world?
...can screw things up and get a passing grade. BP fired people who might be responsible for this mess, and our Government gets a pat on the back for doing nothing to protect our waters. I wish I could cheat on my tests, and give myself a B when I got all the wrong answers.
Seems like a lot of hassle to get them Internet. Why can't they use satellites in space, and transmit with laser technology, It's been available for a decade now.
My guess, is that North Korea will never be successful launching a big rocket, as it will mysteriously explode for no reason. Usually when something goes wrong, the rocket will veer off course, or you will see something brake apart before it explodes.
There is no way they would know if their rocket was shot down by a laser. It's also a good way to test the technology on someone who doesn't really mater anyways.
Freelancing kept me afloat for a few years, until I landed a position as Systems Administrator for a Law Firm. You'd be surprised how many people need your services and willing to pay good money for it. But like you said, I couldn't pass up an opportunity for a full time position with benefits. Now I sit on my ass most of the day, waiting for some dire need of my skills.
Having a 4 year degree certainly helped me, but what's equally important are certifications. There are too many amateur IT people flooding the market, and not enough highly skilled people. Best way to get experience and name recognition is to freelance a few years. You never know what opportunities you'll come across.
We are animals of extinct. If certain people treat us bad, we try to avoid them, and those who treat us nice, we stay around them. It's fear that motivates our judgement.
Some of us are just Brain Washed into believing in things that don't make any sense. To me, it's more of a mental disorder.
When there is no clean water to drink, we'll see how mother nature responds.

Dinosaurs had tall trees for shade, not like the hot tar roads and black roof tops we have in the city.
I bet a good amount is trapped in all that Arctic Ice. Human's also contribute a large part with Live Stocks, and Land Fills

Neuromancer
We want High Resolution, and real voices. Have you played the new Monkey Island?

The class room loser who fails the test, but gives himself a B.

This is a different technology. Laser vs Radio transmission is not the same thing.

I bet a satellites in space shot this rocket down, using some form of laser. The technology has been around since the 80's, so why not?
DARPA wants the Terminator, instead they get Furby!
Yea, I'm sure it will be worth lots more than the $2 million that DARPA is going to give.

It's very pathetic what the world has come to. Big corporations now rely on suing each other to make profits.

Sorry, it's my auto correct. I didn't notice till now.
