Fair points in the most part
It'll be interesting to see how the conduit does, If it does what it promises then it could sell well and as a development platform Quantum3 might bring a means to get more developers building high end hardcore games.
Personally I think they should corral the original developers of the Gamecube ResEvil4 along with whoever implemented the Wii Edition and see if they can do for the Wii what they did for the Gamecube.
I do think though that with the naturally lower development cost of the Wii platform it doesn't take so many sales to have a 'hit' as with the big two.
Actually Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition has sold 1.6 million which kinda destroys your point with it being an 'adult game' and all. I believe Capcom consider it a commercial success. Plus it is a kick ass game.

When I ran some benchmarks on NT4 back in the day file transfer speeds over 10baseT was half that of FTP.. I haven't found a use for SMB outside homogeneous Windows set-ups that can't be beaten by alternate solutions.
You seem to be confusing "lots of (back) story" with "good story".
Lots of popular stories have huge amounts of back story either supplied by the original authors (LotR, Dune Series) or by fans/spinoffs (Buffyverse) this has little to do with the quality of the story.
I'm with Yahtzee on Mass Effect.;-)
I agree with most of that
but "a game that has a story better than any movie put out in the last 30 years" seems like hyperbole to me.
"more wordy than any script in the last 30 years" may be closer to the mark.
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda Could a disk so written be recovered?
