Currently it is against the law to distribute the blacklist, and $10,000 per day for everyday that you have a link to blacklisted content on your site. Of course they do not tell you the links so the only way you know is when they slap you with the fine.

No just don't install CRAP on your system, you can install as many programs as you like.

I export to PDF as well, its a solution that works but it's still a pain in the ass to do.

Given that many libraries use electronic sliding doors I would say Google has better redundancy in place for power failures.
