    Australia's internet censorship is extreme we are supposed to be a democracy yet undesirable content is to be blocked at the ISP level. Pornography and Political content have been found on the leaked blacklist and some brain dead Christian party is pushing for its say on what can be blocked.

    It's perfectly feasible.

    2. Post it to /. and advertise it in google ad sense.

    Those are the first steps then you need to build a community around the free-speech site, use facebook ect. It is quite do able, someone just needs to be able to put the time into it.

    Of all the malevolent things you could do with autorun, why the hell would you choose an xmas card?

    I would be thinking along the lines of remote access, or steal everything in the documents folder. Hell even sending 200 black pages to the printer would be better than doing an xmas card.

    I had the same idea, but I would save on postage and just scatter the drives around a food hall or university campus.

    What would be a laugh is if you filled the casing with gunpowder leaving just the USB plug and the necessary wires for a spark, all the other crap can go.

    More to the point, who is the government to say who we can or cannot trade with?

    Access to a system should be determined by the owner not the government, also in a free market I am free to sell to who ever I wish.

    The definition of public is very debatable, to me a public forum is one such as slashdot where people can register themselves.

    But if I put a forum on line and restrict access so that only people I authorise can access it then it is private. Even if I grant access to strangers who request it the forum is still not public since people cannot gain access without approval.
