Alright, then let me gently modify my original posting:
You are aware that pretty much ANYONE can put up information about a movie on IMDB, right? You didn't know that? Well, now you do.
Show me some sort of news article that actually cites someone saying "Yes, so-and-so has been approached for this part," and maybe you've got a case. Show me a link to someone's IMDB page and I'll laugh in your face and tell you point-blank you're off your rocker.
I'm sorry, gang.. I thought this was/., where I was kept on the bleeding edge of geek news that was important?
What's that, you say? It IS/.?
How very peculiar.. because I could have sworn I've seen that story on here before. A different URL, probably - but that's not surprising, as it was a good article.
Rob - if I post a cached copy of the story on my website, will you repost this in about 10 days' time?
(Yes, I'm pissed off - today's postings have been pretty asinine, between this and the H2G2 movie news that wasn't even sourced outside of IMDB.com. Go ahead and demod me, I don't give a fuck today.)
*rant* Yknow what? I'd rather take my chances with a hospital in the US instead of being flown halfway across the world to India for ANYTHING - surgery, checkup, prescriptions - ANYTHING having to do with the medical profession.
We're not talking about outsourcing code writers, or a call center here - we're talking about my life. The people who've been there, and had something done - great, glad for you, wonderful to hear it - but there's quite literally NO damn way I'm getting on a plane for ANYTHING in India. I don't care HOW clean they might claim to be, or how state-of-the-art their facilities are. Not going to happen.
And this, coming from someone who grew up in upstate New York, in the middle of the Snow Belt.
-rant on- THIS article makes it onto/.? I'm beginning to rethink why I read this site in the first place. This isn't tech geek news - hell, this isn't even 'tech geek hobby' news. WTF kind of hobby is making snow? Do you put something ON the snow, like maple syrup, or thickened Koolaid? No? Then who gives a damn? It's a bitch enough to shovel what falls naturally - why make more? -rant off-
That is without a doubt the BEST blurb I've seen yet on the entire Napster issue. Thanks for the post - my only hope would be that MetCo & their cohorts view that comment and take a couple of minutes to reflect on its depth../dr//
I work for one of the 3-letter US agencies, located roughly halfway between Baltimore and DC. Wake up, buddy. This is a STANDARD non-disclosure and monitoring statement, and something that you should have expected when you started working at your lab. You forfeit ALL rights to privacy when you log onto a government-controlled or -funded network. I would strongly suggest you contact your local security officer to get the particulars, if you're that concerned... but as far as your rights? Give me a break.

Alright, kiddies.. am I the only one who's kept their head here?
Kathleen, you cite NO sources in this - just links to the actors' pages on IMDB.com.
What gives? We're now posting news articles with no sources at all? Let me rummage around for my bullshit flag.

Find me Kevorkian before that happens.
