Right. The poster I replied to said the US is responsible for *everything* good. Without the US, 24/7 Nazi Time. Disagreeing with that isn't deflecting anything. It is a deflection in itself, consisting of jingoism and zero thought.

What discussion? It's just a bunch of wanking caused by the inability to concede that the USA isn't the sole source of everything good and gracious, and/or failure of reading comprehension.

Right. Because the USA singlehandedly defeated the Nazis (Russia? Who the fuck is Russia?), and currently is not just a force, but a the only force that keeps Nazism from rearing its ugly head again. That's literally what keeps Germany from going on conquest again, fear of the USA, otherwise it would be all over it. Also the USA is building memorials all over Germany, makes sure history gets teached, and even bit the bullet and ordered Germans to ban swastikas, while shedding a tear because free speech and all that.

That's not reality, that's a most what you wish reality to be: if "you"'re "the lesser evil", you can get away with so much more. That's the whole two-bit psychology behind such herpa derpa. You're literally resting on something that might as well have happened 500 years ago. It's that relevant, and that idiotic.

America was quite late to the party of WW2, and if Hitler hadn't done such insane maneuvers, who knows what could have happened. Why not be glad it didn't turn out worse? Why mistakenly take the sole credit, which is like peeing on millions and millions of dead people, and brag? How fucked up is that? What's there to gloat? It's sickening, and I guess deep down inside you do know just how badly you're being lied to and used by your dear leaders, in leadership country number one, America, which is not fascist at all, ever.

    Dumb fucks.

I'm not saying resentment doesn't exist, but what's your point? That white middle class kids better start fearing the less privileged, or "stop protecting those who hate and would mug and kill them"? ---- Are you even remotely aware of the irony?

If you're worried about resentment, stop doing what creates that resentment. Sure, you cannot easily undo colonization and whatnot all by yourself, but you can approach people coldly or openly, you can respect or ignore them. And that goes a long way. I'm not saying that's a magic bullet... yes, people can be jealous, and even poor people can be assholes. I'll give you that much, people are people. But still, my personal experience differs vastly.. I know some of the sentiments you're talking about because "brown people" talked to me about them, me being a blonde white German male. Were they just drunk, or did I genuinely listen? IT'S A FUCKING MYSTERY. Also, the coldest motherfuckers I've come across so far all have been "white", and the only person I ever "knew" and many years later heard was involved in a robbery/murder, was a "white" kid with rich parents.

From what I've seen, poverty doesn't create criminal energy as much as it creates meekness (in the bad sense of the word, it can break people). Privilege on the other hand doesn't generate as much responsibility as we'd like, and often enough results in callousness, if not sadism. Maybe I just live on a different planet.
