  1. Re:scared of hydrogen on Microbes Churn Out Hydrogen at Record Rate · · Score: 1

In order to get the energy back out of it you convert it back into water, or if you leave it alone it will do it itself in the atmosphere, if you want to be afraid of loosing a gas, be sad for helium. It mostly non-reactive and too light for our atmosphere, all those helium balloons of the world are loosing helium to space, with little to no replenishment, and none that's effectively used.

  4. Getting along with Microsoft on Linux Foundation Calls for 'Respect for Microsoft' · · Score: 1

I agree with the sentiment of getting along with Microsoft, I use XP at work, mostly because it came on the computer, but most importantly because we use Autodesk Inventor which only supports windows, our Servers were Unix for years till the supplying company dropped it for Windows Server, again not our choice. I don't think Windows is going away, mostly because of Business interests and supported software. I don't have much trouble with XP, I don't download viruses or crapware, I keep up to date on patches, so I don't have the trouble that most people complain about, my computer doesn't crash all the time, Inventor crashes, but it's picky about hardware. all that being said I use Ubuntu on my personal computer at home, I love it, but for a guy without internet access, it can be irritating sometimes.

  5. I can't wait on The Air Car Nears Completion · · Score: 1

To hop up my air powered car with high flow air valves and liquid co2 tanks for the higher energy density, straight pipe out the side to drop the backpressure, personally I see any form of automotive technology as a challenge to see if it can be made faster for cheap.

  6. I'm not going to say this is a great solution but on The Air Car Nears Completion · · Score: 1

Air is a pretty good power source for the same reason that factories use air power, it's easy to make, it's pretty cheap, and most importantly, when it leaks it doesn't make a mess all over the product, think of how many oil leaks your car has at any given time, or you fill up your gas tank and it's hot so it pushes it on the ground, or the vapor alone escapes the system. minus the vegetable oil they use for lube(biodegradable) air is just air. it's almost always cleaner than what you started with.

it's more than a fine technology, it's incredibly efficient, and while i tend to agree that it's not what I would consider geothermal, it is taking and dumping energy into the earth. thus geothermal. it's not 100 percent, but it never really is, there is almost always a buffer system, either to keep sulphur out of the pipes or just to regulate the system.

if you don't like RPN (which is a far superior way to do operations) you can dumb down your HP to TI Standards I never used the monster sized TI but my Hp48g did everything my engineering degree required.
